Mmm. I guess I wont' tell you about my '808 that I picked up in a pawn shop for $50 either. The guy said it didn't work, but that was only because he was expecting drum sounds when he tapped the step pad ala newer drum maschines. I later sold that for $1100 and bought my first laptop with it...

Guess I'm a just a lucky :q:

that is ridiculous, i guess deals like this just get rarer and rarer as people learn to google stuff before they sell it... both absolute bargains though, lucky isnt the word!

Possibly the worst setup in this thread so far.
Fairly old picture, that awful Gemini CDJ is now under my bed, that's never gonna see the light of day again and upgraded from the noob headphones to some nice Sony ones. Most of the vinyls are off camera.

Mixer isn't great but I need all the channels as its connected to my Laptop, TV and Ipod.
Decks aren't too bad (poor mans Technics ftw). The right TT is knackered though, the pitch is 2% down.
Still love it though.

Edit: off camera too there is two 16" PA speakers from Gatecrasher One and a 600W sub that I never dare hook up

That first pic is seriously amazing. Seen one very similar to that before and instantly fell in love. Even the white cartridges look sweet.
How much did it cost to make the unit? (if you dont mind me asking) Or did you buy it like that?

I got CDJs initially and then bought traktor at a later stage when i got my laptop etc. to be fair i am considering selling CDJ's and buying another 1210 as i havent used them at all with normal cd's since i got traktor anyway...

The whole stand including the paintjob cost me about £30 and a mornings work built it my self when i got my own place. Pretty gutted its not setup at the moment but eventually gonna get somewhere with a cellar and kit it out properly!

Glad you like it! :D

Give me a shout if you do decide to sell the CDJ's, been wanting some Pioneers for a while now.
And since you posted that pic I've been searching for a new desk for my TT's. Was it hard work cutting it out so your TT's and Mixer sit flush? Or did you build around them?

Just built it around them mate, measured how high up i wanted everything like desk height speaker height etc and then asked the guy at the DIY place to cut to them measurements all i had to do was sand screw and paint everything up. Well worth doing in my opinion. :m:
