yeah, exactly the same for me
exactly

i dont blame the dude for producing for big names. a lot of producers in all dance genres express desire in producing/ collabing with pop artists. deadboy and kingdom recently have vocalized this. who can blame them? maybe he'll make a decent spears track, who knows.

the real problem is what's already been mentioned, his perception of dubstep.

i thnk dubstep is one of those things where you hear it and you freak the fuck out loves it, want to be apart of it. imho i dont think there's anything wrong with more dubsteppas out there. and also its like, dubstep has a hella fat drug usage involved with it, does that mean more people will be taking drugs and chilling the fuck out, maybe reevaluating their life choices and stuff more...?

the fact is dubstep will probably become popular with the way the world of technologies works today, for how long i dunno, i think its also important to think about how in a lot of european cities electro and some dubstep gets played massively at festivals that are for like 'all ages & families' events not just for a certain subculture of people, like in the states at the county fair, where i'm from you dont hear electro dubshit blastin from some massive speakers while people are partying and kids are climbing around on the geometric dome structure that has a disco ball in it, you get like rock n roll, blues bands...its totally different, but what im trying to say is the idea of electro is already popular, why wouldnt dubstep become so too? & with dubstep there already is this huge online community we've created, basically taken over the underworld of the interwebs and created a place where artists can thrive and be successful without the mainstream involved. dubstep can become popular but its roots are grounded in a huge scene of people against the mainstream. there will obviously always be a large number of people resisting the mainstream, other people who will be down with it and others will be popular without going though the mainstream. so is life...

i just hope more people start doing drugs 0___o

If it was anyone except Britany I wouldnt mind but her.... urgh fuck no. Her fans will like anything she throws out at them so next thing you know they'll be at dubstep gigs D: I personally like Rihanna and she has an edgy style and she isnt like most candy pop queens so I get her working with Chase and Status but Britany.... oh god D:

Britney's old news, all about Hannah Montana, I'd sell the whole of Dubstep out for a smash of that
what is of value and wisdom for one man seems nonsense to another.

hmmmmmmmm
Yeah, this description of dubstep is what disappointed me the most 2bh.

I completely understand how this quote could frustrate people. But you cannot strictly judge him based off this. On December 13th 2008 on radio one he described dubstep in a bit more respectable fashion:

"Been traveling the world for the last couple of years kinda playing this crazy sorta hype, bass, party music. tonight in the essential mix I'm gonna be giving you a little taster of that. I think the thing with dubstep is, for the people that haven't heard it, you gotta let the music do the talking."

Not to mention that every time that I have seen him live he KILLS it. He is a great dj and the new tunes he dropped at Starscape two days ago were Massive.

Has anyone actually heard this track yet then?
As silly as it sounds I like to judge a song by how it sounds :e:

I honestly don't think this is a big deal or unexpected at all. People want to make money. Why not do it through what you love? And shit, the heavy wobble bass dubstep is already so well known. Its like hipster haven. Why expect anything less. I doubt the precious underground, chillout music will ever go mainstream. Since when does does that kind of music appeal to the masses. It's not like Burial is gonna drop into Lollapalooza or Coachella for shits and giggles. Rusko's gonna show up to that kinda shit. The more partyesque music goes mainstream, and that doesn't define anything about the music itself, it does not ensure that the artist is purposefully dumbing down their music for everyone else.
