Keyboard and FL9
Using my normal keyboard as a midi input (as is an option in fruity), for certain VSTs when i tweak a parameter the keyboard will no longer be able to play and I have to re select the channel from the step sequencer.
Anyone know if there is a way round this? or if the problem still exists with a midi keyboard? as it makes changing sounds and playing them a slow process...

Re: Keyboard and FL9
What MIDI keyboard are you using, and do you have the most up-to-date drivers for it?
Re: Keyboard and FL9
I kinda don't understand what is happening here. FL will send you midi input to whatever channel you select, yeah? Are you making tweaks on another channel?antics wrote:Using my normal keyboard as a midi input (as is an option in fruity), for certain VSTs when i tweak a parameter the keyboard will no longer be able to play and I have to re select the channel from the step sequencer.

Make sure you keep the channel you want to play as the selected channel and it should work.
have you got the latest drivers installed and make sure ASIO4ALL v2 is installed.
Re: Keyboard and FL9
I'm using my computer keyboard as the midi input, which i think is causing the problems... as I think when i select another synth that has keyboard mappings, I loose the functionality.
Re: Keyboard and FL9
Bro, u r confusing me

Re: Keyboard and FL9
Its a common bug, just gotta live with it.
An for people confused.
Say you're using Reaktor, you click back onto the synth to tweak then try and play your qwerty keyboard, it will no play the notes till you re-click Reaktor on the patten-block thingy.
It only happens with 3rd party stuff, too.

OH KEYBOARD, got u. Sorry was being dense. R u in fl 9, if so,
on your vst, click the little gear icon in the upper left of the vst wrapper, next to the down carrot. These are options for the way fl handles the vst. On the right, in the middle is a section called 'visual' click the third option, "Don't allow keyboard focus".
NOW - go to the 'general' section at the top, and click 'save now', then you can click the little gear icon to get back to your vst.
I'm not a native speaker, but I think Bob's ur uncle!

Re: Keyboard and FL9
^ Handy! Yeah it's just the keyboard losing focus, happens with predator/albino too I think.
