But I'm not a Reason user.

Kind of a silly thing to say, no? I mean, you don't comment halfway through a movie, "Man, this is a short movie!" :D

No, but you can say "so far this movie sucks". You can also say "I hope something interesting happens next". This is why I said so far. ;)

Jason

:)

Well actually you said that what has been presented so far doesn't justify it being a full upgrade. The reason that's silly is that you have seen AT MOST 2/5 of the new features, so of course these two features don't justify a full upgrade.

If you had just said those other things, I never would have responded. I mean, I could just read through 2/5 of the Cubase 5 updated features list and say the same thing, and everybody would be saying how ridiculous I was.

Just saying to give it a chance. Although people always have really weird expectations for Reason, so no matter what, there's gonna be loads of disappointed people out there (I was certainly underwhelmed by Record).

U persist with these ignorant statements.
Sorry, just what I've seen/experienced.

So you're saying every tool can be accessed via keyboard modifiers?

Still, some programs don't require the user to change tools for any purpose. ;)

You don't need different tools to set loop points or copy blocks. The main cursor is context sensitive, so does what you need it to do depending on the situation.

Interesting.

I may dl the demo at some point and give it some proper attention.

I always liked FL, but for various reasons used Ejay, Cool Edit, Reason, Cubendo and Reaper more.

What are the requirements for beta testing? I've never done such a thing, but I am interested. Would there be alot work involded for me, like writing a report, reporting bugs, taking a survey and whatnot?

While i just seen the blocks video, and thought it was quite innovative, and its quite simple. I think it will be really helpfully when working with other producer i.e like in a collb. Plus, helpfully just in general, because have quite messy huge sequences and things tend to get complex and i can't even remember half the channels, so have this blocks into i could spread out the riffs and stuff to different sections etc...

Very nice... i like:) what else they got?

https://www.propellerheads.se/betatest/sign-up/

the earlier you sign up the earlier you get into a beta releases. all you got to do is test out the software and report any bugs, if you want. nothing is mandatory.
