I ended being given mine in a spur of the moment thing. Was playing at a hip hop night and was asked for a name and didnt have one... was playing around with Zen but felt a bit pretentious at the time... the mates I was doing the night with knew me as being a bit of a perv and a lady lover and had nicked named me Dirt Mc Girth ( in tribute to Ol Dirty Bastard as I was/am one!) So that got put on the flyers and posters and couldnn't go back. Its shortened down to DiRT now so its easy to use design wise on flyers an promo shit!

Feels kind of played out these days but it'll come back in style eventually. Kinda like how bands all suddenly have "The" in front of their names and then just as quickly, all the new bands don't have it to seperate themselves from the last generation.

Mines kind of a stretch, I'm Era REdux.. The Era being brought back. Redux is also known as a weight loss supplement also known as dexfenfluramine hydrochloride, which got banned, since it lead to heart problems. I, coincidentally, have had 4 heart surgeries, which also fits the Redux part. Also on top of all that, the RE is capital since i use Reason / Record for my productions. The reason why i say the era being brought back is because i used tons of vintage synth samples. Nothing beats the old thickness of analog synthesizers. Once i get $3,500, i'll drop it on a Moog, Juno, Taurus, Odyssey, or even an old drum machine (tr-808, 606, etc) .. Too much thought, since my old name use to be thewilcode.

My band's name is "An Indigenous Sound," since we write all types of music. Mostly elevator music.

I had a phase (when I was about 15) to call myself Alt Ctrl Delete online and in games (I thought it was that instead of Ctrl Alt Delete). In one game a girl started calling me Alty, and it sort of caught on, which led me to calling myself that on most websites etc.

My old production alias came about because its a play on words Error Tech with an error in it (aswell im aussie and say erra instead of error), and also when i made it i was very erratic so it kindof was fitting.
