DMZ White label shizzle

Post by dj seizure » Sun May 30, 2010 7:38 pm

I was just in a little mix in my room and I found my Dmz - Ancient memories/ Skream remix

DMZ008

But it's a whitelabel... :S

I recall buying it from HTFR. Did they just press these to sell or did DMZ allow this, or is this how they're meant to look?

Instead of this?

HTFR are / were notoriously dodgy fuckers - i would imagine it's a bootleg

I remember reading about how they would bootleg alot of stuff. But it's obviously that HTFR stopped retailing Dubstep a LONG LONG time ago.

Damn it! And here I thought I had an absolute gem. I want to sell it you see and I wanted to be one of the bastard dick willys selling them at £50 a pop!

Ahhh okay, well I'm just going to sell mine for whatever then. I wish I had anti-war. I remember seeing it in shops and not buying it. :(

It's obviously a fake, so I'll happily take it off your hands and dispose of it for you.

Mine's also a white label but it has DMZ PROMO in the familiar font in green ink stamped on the A side, so i'm guessing mine is definitely not a bootleg.

mala used to take a very small amount of white label copies (usually 5 or 10 but in this case 34) with, as notez_ said, a green dmz promo stamp on one side into blackmarket 1 or 2 months before the full release and that would be that, nowhere else received them. htfr could've just sold you a secondhand copy though.

Why?

I was 15. I wasn't up for spending £30 on a vinyl.

Go suck a fat dick.
