Finished? Version of my entry for Inspector Dubplate's Comp

Post by Clyde Hawkins » Mon May 31, 2010 1:10 am

I put finishing this track off till the very last minute and it shows. It's not as long as i would have liked it to be and it's not what i wanted it to be in general. ALSO it was supposed to get mastered for free by a friend but now there is no time since the competition ends tomorrow. or today? the mixdown is awful because i have no experience in mixdowns at ALL. BUT besides all that negative input from myself lol. what do you think? the second half is a drum & bass part. hope you enjoy!

I'm not trying to make dubstep, it just comes out sounding that way...
I don't know what's going on! I guess I'm just stuck on this cool new wobble idea i came up with...

Good luck with the competition! I think you stand a good chance with an entry like this. The drop's brilliant, nice sampling and the change up is awesome :D If you ever get it mastered please let me know!

thanks! my friend is offering to master any tracks i make for free but idk if this one is good enough to get mastered. well i mean, i guess it is, and i guess i shouldn't say that, but i wouldn't want someone to take the time to master it if i don't feel it's up to par. i could have made this much better and i still have to learn how to mixdown good. im going to put more effort into my future tracks. this is only my second finished dubstep track so far, so im stilling learning!
