Hey guys here's my latest. Still trying to shape this one. So is it too boring? i'll be looking to add some samples but should i tie in some synth work too? I dont wanna crowd it up but i'm not sure if i've overcompensated. let me know what you think. Cheers, Olux.

@Olux The intro is a bit long. I like the main stab but having it fade out the whole time doesn't work that well. The eastern flute melody is decent. It's not boring exactly, just kind of empty. When the wobble shows up things make more sense. The production could use some work, especially the drums. You've got the main skeleton here, you just need to add a little more meat to it's bones :)

Overall it's cool, keep it up! :)

@Astral - i'm not sure what genre I'd call this either, but its great! I love the drums, they're simple but ridiculously catchy. The main synth is fantastic. how did you program it? I'd like to hear a bit more low end, and I think as it goes on you could introduce more elements, but other than that just can't wait til this is finished.

@Imperial - usually I hate anything with wobbles, but this (invasion) is so original that I can't help but admit that it's pretty badass. I love the 8-bit sounding synth, and all the varied bass tones. My favorite thing about this track though would definitely be the way the drums move the track along. They keep things interesting the whole time. I love how they keep threatening to explode into a full breakbeat. In general the synthesis on this track is top notch. nice work mate!

@deranger - this track is almost unbelievably chilled out. I'm a sucker for minimalism in any artform when its done well and this track is a perfect example. When the slow-attack synth comes in its simply orgasmic. This is the kind of track that forces you to slow down and feel its groove. Really digging it! I can't find anything to suggest here, I think this track is basically finished.

@olux digin it bro the intro is a bit to long id cut it up a little to where you could mash the wobble throughout the track but hell yea man id bump that for sure
@Imperial nice 8bit feel liking the smoothness this track bring id like to hear the fial mixdown for sure
@sirius the vocals in this track are nice good chill track to listen to anyday.

This is a track im workin on not finished by far just a snip i need to tighten the sound and fix the second drop for sure just lookin for some feedback thanks

@Olux - Dropping the delay down on those stabs once you get into the main bar would be a good idea methinks, it starts to fatigue the ears abit. It does work well in the second drop they with the wobble. Maybe get a few more incidentals, some pads swirling around, dropping in and out in the main. Also watch your gain structure, the tune gets abit hot after the second drop.

@imperial - Madness. 8bitthrashstep? That bass could do with a slight nudge down after the initial drop (and throughout), just a tad too large. Feelin' the roughness of this though and the variety throughout keeps things from feeling stale.

@Sirius - That vocal is lovely 'n' clean in the mix, kinda floats above everything else. Nice work. Those short stabs seems abit louder than everything else? Not sure if it's intended, it does work though so...you can probably ignore me haha

@Astal - techfunky? That synth is ill, that wee breakdown at 0:56 works really well. Mix is sounding sweet, good work allrouuunnndddd.

@Psythe - Drum pattern is sweet mate. Mix could do with some work, things get abit lost in amongst everything.

@Ponte_ricky - That's a lovely intro, the rising out of the pad works so well. Beat is kushty but the drums sound abit weak against the sub to my ears, the sub being turned down a tad should sort that? Ahhh...really good track, that vocal burst is perfect with your drums, loving the space you've created.

@Foureyez - Interesting wobbles, that's a nice sound, the sub underneath is nice and clean too. Overall mix is sounding solid, keep it up.

Feedback on this one pl0x..

New to production right? Well it's pretty good for a starter:P just keep working on your wobbles.

Here's my second Dubstep project. I started working on this about a week ago, I'm just having mixing problems but tell me what you guys think about it so far. :]

@tripwire22 - nice and chill I like it mate!

@ponte_ricky sick tune man, i would say the drums need a bit more punch, thats just me tho i think.

@ Imperial - I like the intro sounds, reminds of pacman! sounding well, although its not my kind of thing!

@Olux, i would add more hats or something to the drums at about 1:50 or something, sounding good tho mate!

Below I have done more work to the tune I posted on the first page, not too sure what I make of it!

Feedback welcome as always!

@RightOnTime -- Snare verb in the intro was too much for me, same for the poly synth rise thing. Im in headphones, but throughout it seems everything is right up front and on top of one another; i.e. no mix... Wasn't workin for me.

@klevccs -- Your snare's big verb works well, and the two alternating snare sounds are mad cool.. is it a low pass w/ lfo? I am new to beat making and I like that. The sound on those swelling mids is also something that I've been trying to achieve. Enjoyed the track as a whole too, good balance of repetitive groove and moving composition. Nice pads/harmonies and I especially like 3:23 good job.

I haven't got much to say for most of you, like I said I am a beginner. But I do listen to your tunes and learn a lot from this forum so thanks 2 all.

@-[2]DAY_- For the Snare I just duplicate the first and turned down the pitch a little add some delay (just a bit) and a different eq.
the mids are just a Square waveform and i tweaked the filter Envelopes until i got the sound i was looking for :) No big deal

Happy music making :) :t:
