@Bassmagnet

Filf, pure filf. Liking all the bass sounds, what you make them on if you don't mind me asking? Cool track some sections get a little tiring though, maybe a few glitchy drops? (of acid)

Haha Ill take the advice... and a couple blotters :) It does get pretty tiring in some bits, ill look into it sir. If you mean what softsynth I am using then it's Albino3 and massive, all day everyday son.
Thanks for hitting me back sir!

Very minimal, but has some really nice rhythm in it, proper laid back :) Wouldn't mind a bit more of a bass line though, it is a dubstep forum after all! Cool tune reminds me of the days of playing about with reason 2.5 untill the early hours!
im not sure what you mean. there is already a bassline, its pretty low maybe you didnt pick it up? thanks for the feedback though :D

Thanks all for the feedback, didn't think requiem would get such a reaction, i wasn't 100% on it, still needs some work methinks.

The reason i asked is cause i haven't worked out how to automate the synced lfo in massive and sounds like you've done that, that or set key track or velocity to unsynced lfo rate, but sounds in time, maybe i'm going crazy quantising things in my brain!

I like that last synth as well, massive is the tits! :)
I had the same problem when i started out man, i'm not sure you can automate the synced LFO, but my answer is resampling, and re - arranging all the different times (1/2, 1/4, 1/8 ect...) as audio. or just freeze the track and create new for another sync time but then you got loads of midi tracks.

Conflux; cheers man, yeh always needing bigger snarez aha and much agreement logic is sick! I know my way around it now, i got some more tracks coming up.

&
@Modepth - Seeing Things; Nice track man loving the beat, very jumpy with those backbeats goin on.

@ Dankface; your track is pretty different dude, very housey, sounds a little confusing tho, feels like a scetchy sid trip. and i think the compression jumps out alot, but yeh nice work man.

@ Zinny; cheers man, very nice track! got some nice deep bass going on there, linking the ambience, and the way you've used the wobble ambiently as well. little more snare rverb will give it a nice flow too, nice work man

peace & respect all round

thou i'm not a wobble lover but this is amazingly catchy, and i see this smashing the dancefloor quite massively ;)

from the technical side, the tune sounds a bit mono, and sometimes strangely far, i think thats becouse you didnt find accapella...and used the whole tune filtered and eq'd? :) still good tune :wink:

now my stuff, this was finished quite a long time ago, and some of you might already heard this one...but still...

@jstick - I dig the way you mixed the vocals in there - panning sounds sweet around 1:10 or so. I agree with synthif that people would prolly dig it in a dancehall.

This is my latest track...not a club style, but more mellow and hypnotic...dub version of "Mean Dreams" by Eek-A-Mouse:

Let me clear it up, it didn't cut through on lappy speakers, guessing it was mostly sub, and no low mids, to help it cut through on different systems, one little trick u could try, if it is just your basic sine bass line, is to distort, or overdrive dat low bass to bring out some harmonics to make it more recognisable on different sound systems.

Yeah, I've just been resampling to, just whacking out a C3 with no mods for a while bounce and then chuck in the sampler exs24, then I can automate the synced wobbs in the sampler track, but I like the glides in massive more than exs24 so kinda pisses me off :)

Cheers

@ bannana bomber nice track, seems like you've got some skillz, it would be nice if people didn't just chuck a track up and expect a response when they couldn't be arsed to give any feedback themselves. You have skillz, maybs some of the other less skilled producers on here could use your finely tuned ears, and might be a bit more inclinded to give some feedback to you.

This goes to you manymore, and the p who said "tune sells itself." Go on the let your tune sell itself, and stop trolling 'rums.

Give back don't be a dick, i'm probs gonna get banned for being so aggy, but you guys (who post a tune and give no feedback) pee me right off.

@Abiotic

Nice track, grooves well bass in chunky, would like the vocal/voice sampler to be rhythmically gated, or glitched whatever just think that would add a nice bit of interest to it and sweeten things up, cool drums decent track. :)

I compare my own tunes on three different sets of speakers and have monitor headphones.

I know the exact characteristics of each of those speakers and have listened to thousands of tunes of each set, also know the frequency response of each, plus I fucking hate listening to Soundcloud through monitor speakers, as if it's shit then it's gonna proper hurt me, as i'm sure you know from experience if you've listen to shit productions on good speakers. Also like not giving myself tinnitus if I can help it.

Too many reasons not to listen to productions on good speakers first.

I use it as a testbed, if it don't cut through on shit speakers I trust then it might as well not be there cause that's what most people are listening on, it's more a mastering engineers perspective.

Also, you might have seen my tutorial someone reposted on here: http://audio.tutsplus.com/tutorials/pro ... echniques/

EDIT: I'm only here to help, I'll stop being such a dick soon I promise! :roll:

Wasn't trying to be a dick, just the sub low frequencies are the emphasis in pretty much all my productions (and this genre in general), so it's just a bit gutting when people don't get any of that.

IMO I think it's where you separate the line from being a club tune and a tune that could be played on the radio. IMO I think it should sound the best it possibly can be on as many sound systems as possible, and not be exclusive to people with teh massive systems.

Most wickedly produced music sounds good everywhere, that's the point basically.

PS, sorry I said I was being a dick not you!
