I can't hold eye contact w/ people unless I'm talking 2 them

I smile at women, men get a nod. Say hello to some people.

yes that's how i roll as well when i'm feeling tops. It gives a really good feeling for both people.

it's great to acknowledge people's presence and all...women always get acknowledged, if they make eye contact back.

but I walk like I'm on a mission. someone once said I walked into the store like I owned the place. I move fast and all that.

certain situations it's best NOT to make eye contact. "the fuck is you lookin at son?!?!?!?!" - happens too often.

Its lifts the general happiness in the air by a few percent.
And if someone is staring at me I make it my mission to stare them right back and give them a massive smile.
Confuses the hell outa them.

Within a week you won't feel awkward, and its just nice, some (normally old)people may not have spoke to someone all day.
Of course you get the odd moody bitch that gives you the evils but you win so hey.

you'd be surprised at how unfriendly people are in england
soon as you go anywhere else in europe, people are really friendly

and i find going on the tube a nightmare, cos i just don't know where to look lol

I just unintentionally stare at people trying to figure out their existence. Its quite fun, you can make little stories for people. Everyone on the tube looks so depressed as it is, its actually quite fascinating wondering what goes on in their lives.

Haha not with all foreigners though. But yeah it happens!

Was sitting on a little wall next to my school with 2 of my friends after an exam, and 2 guys are passing us. Both of them were arabian.
One of my friends makes eye contact with one of the guys, and he holded it a bit too long... Guy grabs my friend's troath, starts slapping him in the face. Quite hard.

And I don't know where my friend got the courage frum, the 2 guys were both way bigger than us, but he just knocks of the guy's cap and starts ticking his dog-chain and laughs with him.
They left after that.


Also I have problems with holding eye contact too, I'm just a shy guy.
When I was little I used to say hi to people on the streets too, but now older people consider it as an attack when an 18 year old is being polite.
