Difference between HD-25s

Post by hayze99 » Sat Jun 05, 2010 8:07 pm

What is the difference between all the different versions? I see some at £95 and some at £150. Are they the best mid-level/price production headphones to use instead of monitors (I have some, I'm just leaving the country for a while)

The HD-25 II's are the most pricey, they have a flexible headband their freq range is slightly larger than that of the HD - 25 SPs, which have a fixed headband and a slightly smaller freq range. Thats most of the difference I can see

i have the hd-25s but i was under the impression the drivers on the sp's are identical and its just the headband/cabling that is different

I have had two pairs of HD25s and broken them both by standing on the cable while mixing. Now I use 20 quid seinheiser's and tbh my hearing is so fucked these days they sound almost as good.
