Those Sony's are some nice headphones, sound great but if you want headphones for production I'd say go for monitor headphones, it'll cost more but it's worth it for the clarity/accuracy
How does I wobbled bass?

The have some expensive ones too but the problem is they are scooped. They try to make them sound "better" which makes them far from flat. Do yourself a favor and don't buy gear from Best Buy. No need for that. You can order shit from an online store if there are no music stores in your area. Personally I would recommend AKG k240 for affordable production cans.

Yeah I have the AKG242's, really like them. But still same old headphone monitoring problems...

I don't know what point you are trying to make with these links I don't really have time to read them anyway. I don't use my cans that much tbh. I have AKG70s's as well, there is no problem with the cans, I just can't get into them. My monitors work much better for me. Sometimes if you have problem with the mix, the culprit may very well not be the reference but rather your techniques or lack thereof. It is perfectly possible to get the mix spot on without even half decent monitors.

I was giving the OP some helpful links if he was looking at techniques for helping to mix on cans. Sorry if I somehow offended you in some way with that, I guess it was pretty rude. The problems I was referring mainly to were those of stereo spread and lack of physical bass. Didn't say I myself struggled heaps, but I'm sure my lack thereof of technique will improve with time. Cheers.

Naw you quoted me so I thought you were directing the reply to me. Yeah though that is what the problem is for me, shit has to move air. You could have the best pair of cans in the world but to me they still sound kinda artificial plus cans can be TOO accurate if you know what I mean. The Stereo separation can be dealt with with software but I am not totally comfortable with that.

Haha this is getting to be one big post! Sweet, yeah I was a bit weirded out by the software, just don't know how trustworthy I am of it. Over accuracy can be irritating, spending an hour on something that can't ever be heard but in your cans. Especially in little audio edits. When I get coin I'll definitely get some near fields to switch between. Expensive little habit though, and then you feel like you should do some room treatment etc.

Yeah it gets expensive but well worth it. If you really love music you should want to do whatever it takes to hear it as properly as possible imo. Even if I quit making tune (which isn't likely) I will still have this stuff just to listen to music on.

Fair comment. At the moment it is work less produce more, but should really be on the saving tip too. Off to buy a piggy bank!

I've got the Sony XB500's. They're pretty heavy sounding and the best out of the XB range from what I've heard. The next level up 700's are really inaccurate and have a lot of dips in the highs. The 500's sound good though, really awesome for listening to subs, I've seen some comparison charts with the Monster Dr. Dre Beats and the Beats get shat on. They're pretty controlled considering what they're made for and they're really loud.
Not flat though so you have to compensate if you're going to try to mix on them. I find that makes my mixes turn out with cleaner bass though which is good. Not a lot of highs though so you'd want something else for listening to really detailed parts, transients, etc. I've got an old AKG open ear set though that have very little bass but awesome high clarity so I switch back and forth.
I'd recommend them for general listening and sub monitoring if you're doing production.

They would mainly be used for mixing.. I have a decent in ear set for general listening.. Thanks for the review, I appreciate it..
