..I found this disturbing and had to share. A bit sensationalized perhaps, but backwards, nonetheless.

That's a fuckin shitty story, homeless people got it pretty bad as it is. I try and give a bit of money and have a chat with folks on the street if I've got the time. It's really disturbing how many of these people are ex-services in this country, see the most shocking things serving their country and then can't adjust to civilian life and turn to drink, drugs and occassionally suicide.

Take time to talk to these people, share a joke, buy them a sandwich and just make them feel worthwhile for a bit. Most people don't end up on the street through choice and deserve a bit of humanity. If folks feel like they're on the lowest rung and life is bleak and hopeless it might make them more likely to come good in their lives

Obviously the really scary psychotic ones should be left well alone though :wink:

yeah that shit's dark, seeing people on the streets after they served their country just doesn't seem right
