Most of the space in the bass comes down to Downlinks in-depth manipulation of splitting into four.... yes four bands and treating each band independently. Im going to hint that stereo spreaders and choruses were also used.
He made the main 'meat' of the track. I then edited the song into an arrangement, added extra synths, changed the kicks n snares and I did 70% of the mixing.
The key to space on this track is by using a minimalistic approach, we didnt want too much happening at one time, so when a new part of the track in introduced, and older part is dropped out subtly.
You actually wont believe me but the final track with all the band splits and extra single fx, came over 70+ audio/midi tracks NOT including all the bussing
