Stumbled across this on doa. Thought I may be useful to some.
http://privat.bahnhof.se/wb447909/phono ... mega_pack/
Each preset is sampled at C in four octaves, thats a total of 512 samples. They are recorded at 88.2 khz 24bit. I've not chopped them up (I figured you could do that yourselves) so you can imagine that the file size is rather large once you unpack the rar. Anyway, each patch has 4 samples, then theres a slightly longer gap between patches (should make chopping easier) Some patches with long release times will inevitably flow into the next note or be cut short by the program change, you'll have to live with that.
All the patches are as shipped, ie. volumes, fx and arps are factory default, i tried my best to make sure none of the patches clip, though i may have missed some (especially any large unison patches)

Did you not read the skunk thread about virus b dropping a load into massive's mouth? Nearly universally recognized as phatter, and universally by those with ears.

If you do this please make multi velocity 1-2 octave multi-samples with no modulation

Otherwise they'll be little use to me

I've only made 6 patches for my virus so far, all bass, and all near utility level, just low square patches.
But as I make some more, I'd be more than happy to participate. Can you uber ti guys load up b patches?

You do actually have a fair point there, especially considering the lovely saturation on the Virus filter that everybody talks about. Fair enough, maybe filter envelopes should be an exception

oh i have no doubt. but if it's samples versus synth then i automatically have way more versatility with the synth.
what i really want is a proper virus emulator.

Im down with this FSTZ. I'm also thinking about doing some tutorial vids on sound design in the virus if anyones keen? Sorta cover some of the nuances that makes this synth different from all the rest.
