It's the aesthetic that makes it the iPhone/iPod Touch. It's just so nice to look at, the apps just push it right to the top of the game.

True, but it's much more. The iPhone has superior hardware (processor, graphics chip, RAM), a far superior App Store, a far superior UI, a far superior OS, a great SDK, a far better market for your apps. More iProduct users = more people to buy your app.

Maybe there's no info, but I recall that when the 3GS was released, both in the US and the UK, the price for the 3G went down to 99/149. I would expect the same thing to happen again.

$99.00 on contract though.
