Well that is your opinion, and youre intitled it. But for me it doesnt slow down my workflow at all.
Re: Just bought a Mac - Useful Software?
Another Mac question: I just bought an old g4 tower for $50 to replace my dead PC as a second computer. I got Reason 3.0 on there. And I want to find an old version DAW that will work good with a PPC mac. Something with Rewire. Is there a version of Logic like that?

Version 6 should do it bro, not sure it will be too easy to find though!ninjadog wrote:Another Mac question: I just bought an old g4 tower for $50 to replace my dead PC as a second computer. Just reread and I'm not sure whether it not it supports rewire either :/ If not try 7, I have a feeling that works with PPC's too... It's much more powerful than 6 though so it's tricky!

System Requirements: Mac computer with a 1.25GHz or faster PowerPC G4 processor (PowerPC G5, Intel Core Duo, or Intel Xeon processor highly recommended), 1GB of RAM, Display with 1024-by-768 resolution, Mac OS X v10.4.9 or later, QuickTime 7.2 or later, 6GB of available disk space, DVD drive for installation, Low-latency multi-I/O audio hardware and MIDI interface recommended
Re: Just bought a Mac - Useful Software?
I switched to a mac the other day, love it but I miss some of my plugins. Just wondering if anybody can give me some alternatives for mac?
I'm looking for a good realistic choir instrument and a theremin instrument
I had this on PC
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hx1oZiP-TEY
And a freeware by Spook Keys that made theremin sounds
I'm way more concerned about getting a choir plugin but I just hope I can get one that sounds as good as magnus choir. any ideas anyone?
Edit:
Also wouldnt mind a good eq similar to fruitys parametric eq if anyone knows of one

The automation and sidechaining in Cubase is straight forward in comparison to the ole "Bus,Route and Sends" ordeal. But besides those DAW's. The rest are garbage. With an exception to Renoise.
Nope, Im def' not a Ableton fan.

umm...looks like Logic cost more too me there. js
Most of your arguments are invalid, like comparing Logic 7 (old version and wayyyyy too expensive) with cubase to make a childish point.
Logic studio 9 The latest incarnation of logic IS cheaper than cubase as shown in the page before
and i quote
And your transcoding mp3 to mp3 using decadance to get the tempo matching................setspeed wrote: not in the UK, it's about 110GBP difference (or about 160USD)...

i remember you saying also that you sample drums from youtube.
I think i rest my case...

Re: Just bought a Mac - Useful Software?
Where do you think the drums anyone uses -excluding 909's and 808's- in their electronic songs come from? ITS A SAMPLE, lol. So you pointing that out like it meant something was pointless . i have taken old songs that dont even have any dubstep influences and chopped the melodies up.
Thats the art of sampling. If you want to quote me on something get your facts straight. as for cubase vs. logic. youre way late on that and like i said ,
PRICES FLUCTUATE AND ARE DIFFERENT ELSEWHERE.
Logic 9 is an update for 199. And as of now Cubase 5 and Logic 9 are being sold at the same price. Prices change.
And you dont have a clue about Deckadance, so i suggest leaving that topic alone. "transcoding mp3 to mp3" ..wtf. lawl

Deckadance doesnt transcode to mp3, Only WAV when recording sections of a song .
you havent made any points.

You're the most arrogant, uneducated, degenerate dirty little fucker that ever existed.Moxxiedubstep wrote:Where do you think the drums anyone uses -excluding 909's and 808's- in their electronic songs come from? ITS A SAMPLE, lol.
There are plenty more drum machines than the 808 and 909, in fact you don't even need a drum machine to make an electronic drum, any synth can do it.
I think Depone was referring to you using YOUTUBE samples not just samples mate. And everybody in here knows he has a point, you just think too much of yourself to see it. Seriously, why do you think you know it all. It's a joke.

Re: Just bought a Mac - Useful Software?
What was the point of naming of all of them? because i dont list them means i dont know? LOL . some of you wanks are too funny. no kidding they are made with synth(808 analog ,909 digital ). then theyre are made into a one shot SAMPLES. Nice insult by the way, made me feel like i was in 5th grade again.wirez wrote:You're the most arrogant, uneducated, degenerate dirty little fucker that ever existed.Moxxiedubstep wrote:Where do you think the drums anyone uses -excluding 909's and 808's- in their electronic songs come from? Wheres my cheez-its.
Re: Just bought a Mac - Useful Software?
You do know you can make drums inside soft synths right? Then they're not audio samples. Perhaps go back to "5th grade".Moxxiedubstep wrote:then theyre are made into a one shot SAMPLES. Nice insult by the way, made me feel like i was in 5th grade again.
