I make fun of Sytrus because its interface looks like a robot threw up all over the place. When i got FL I used Sytrus a lot, strictly presets, because I had no clue at all about synthesis of any kind, and that interface, man, I couldn't figure out the first step.

It has long since fallen by the wayside for me. However, over a couple of years since then I have learned a lot about synthesis, just not FM synthesis. As comfortable as I am with Massive, I can't help but wonder what FM synthesis has to offer.

Brizance or Back2One, can you guys post an example of a track featuring Syrtus, showing a range of cool things it can do? I'd be interested to hear.

All of the bass(minus sub, which is 3xOSC) is sytrus.

Also most of my tracks feature sytrus at some point.

I don't have any finished tracks with sytrus in but I'm putting together a sytrus patch bank soon so I'll post that up when it's done

from the diversity of the presets, I'd say it is an amazing all round synth. The flute preset for instance is awesome (within an octave or so).

Sytrus makes insanely solid sub. Like sometimes, it's to solid. Think on that one.

if by "bass" you mean all those grindy sounds flashing in and out, then sytrus can produce some interesting sounds indeed. not totally convinced i couldn't create similar sounds in massive, though, and probably in a fraction of the time. i like your work there but i'm still not convinced.

And the wobbles. Besides Sytrus supports slide.

Would really appreciate if someone could share some presets, or even just general ideas of what to do where to get 'x' sound.

take osc 1, make it a sine or close. Modulate with osc2, tweak waveshape to taste. Use envelope or LFO on osc2s volume. etc.
