...hah, they got us listed as grime and dark electro. May as well throw techno in there as well
enjoy it for what it is

yeah man, that breezeblock set fuckin changed my whole outlook, to be honest, I can't even listen to dnb anymore.
and where it's taken me about 6 months to get inspired to write a new dnb track, I've already started and almost finished 3 dubstep tracks in as many days.
Maybe I'm have to start releasing dubstep on Medusa and Monkey Bizness

this might sound a bit wank but...
I would urge any newcomer producers to the sound from other genres to at the very least go back and listen to the roots of dubstep and even some dark garage before rinsing a halfstep beat and throwing d'n'b sounds and production values at it
...the step is just as important as the dub
it's not like putting an amen on recycle and churning them out or is it ???
I fear for dubstep

very very true mugga ... I really regret missing some great music cos I
I've come to realize that it is / was garage and there is nowt wrong with that but my perception of garage / 2step was grossly distorted by publications like future/computermusic & Craig David ...just never listened to it as i thought it was garage or something....
just be thankful doomstep that you never got to hear some of our shitty garage trax from a few years ago...
...I remember not so long ago when there was a lot of shitty 2 step remixes and lo fi garage but interspersed was the genesis of all that you see and hear now only it wasn't called dubstep
Jred(HELL_SD) used to call it nu dark swing maybe he ripped it off darqwans style of production, dunno but it was what it was...
...new, dark and it didn't so much swing as stagger and stutter along
everyone used to diss so solid but without them and their minimalist production things might have been different just listen to something like 2 jedi 2 dark remix and see what i mean
big ups also to oxide of neutrino fame
whatever happpened to him ???
