i thought "the blues is now" came out like 2 years ago? no????

that's a damn shame. fantastic bit of music.

Overcast radio's a don, as are the Jazzsteppa crew and (wait for it) the Spit Bros. in SF.

and if we're writing about jazz and dubstep and haven't mentioned Ben Neill yet... i mean, seriously. Ben's material is just amazing.

lotta really, really talented jazzers are feeling the dubstep, finding that path that moves through acoustic tradition and electronic innovation. If you're building this sound, it's as much about the journey. respect.

We do some live jazzy dubstep as a trio featuring trumpet, keybairds, bass and drums. You can check out some live tracks from one of our recent shows in DC.

I've heard Jazzsteppa's stuff but hear more reggae in their music than jazz to be honest.

This isn't just some record with some jazz samples on it. Man is a jazz musician, had extremely gifted musicians in the studio to put this one together.

Ace.

That's lovely. Does just sound like a load of samples though. I would totally pay a fair bit of money to hear this done live.
