No, but the historical Musashi wrote the:

Book of Five Rings

The 'Book of Five Rings' is about Zen, martial arts and the life as samurai in feudal Japan. There is also a manager edition available.

Heh, i saw an anime not long ago: Shura no toki. With one arc of the story talking about Shimmen Miyamoto Musashi and the Hagakure..
been looking for some literature to explain some of the historical references in that story.

just finished the second book from James Frey, My Friend Leonard. Couldn't give a shit about what was or wasn't true, made a fucking good story and i shed a tear too.

Can anyone recommend me some books, something that i dont want to put down, like Frey's books.

Along the lines of crime, philosphy, alternate thinking maybe and some comedy. If you have read a good book on any of those things let me know please.

And another FANTAStic music book is called Bass Culture:When Reggae was king by Lloyd Bradley

Not at all academic sounding, it's a really insightful history of Jamaican music.
I tells how ska, then reggae came about, then how it went round the world as emigrants moved to places like London etc. Also it goes into a lot of depth about Sound System culture.
I'm sure everyone on the dubstep forum would enjoy it.

theres a chapter towards the end, which has nothing to do with the sotry that is just incredible! if anyone here has read this they know what im talkin about.

only just started it so can't really comment. In the very first chapter Idi Amin silences a dinner party by roaring "I have also eaten man meat", so I've already got high hopes for it.
