Hell yeah, motherfucker. I smoked twice between looking at this thread and responding to it.

Part of the problem is having the predisposition to actually eating cheetos in bed for 8 hours in the first place, but to each his own. So are you saying you don't dream when you burn, or do you have some kind of Sober the Friendly Dragon that actually comes and hangs with you when you "Just say no"?hayze99 wrote:Thread's been done a thousand times, but might as well rehash (aaaaaah).
I've been a daily smoker for a while now, but it's starting to fuck me up, and I realise I just could be so much more productive without it. I stay up all night, so, smoke a joint at 12 at night - spend the night till 7am in bed eating cheetos. No joint - spend the night till 7am riding dragons and being a fucking badass.
So good sirs and madams, doseth thou smoketh the cheeba?

Nope. I'm actually at work getting paid by the hour for this.Helix [Delay] wrote: You are on some shit tonight, dawg.

Gone two months now without blazing up after smoking bongs every day for eleven years. The dreams are amazing but I think all stoners have a definite need for something to lift their bleak outlook which got them attached in the first place. Crushing the reward system is the hardest part, like refraining from getting stoned after work.

Stopped 5 years ago.
Had the odd joint in that time but can't stand the stuff on the whole.
Beer on the other hand

Err what?

I don't know, the fact that you assume that people who smoke pot do it to "to lift their bleak outlook which got them attached in the first place" as if we all hate our lives and are dependent on the stuffshift decimal wrote:Err what?

Re: Doseth thou smoketh the cheeba?
It's just my observation through knowing the people I do and their general disposition to depression. Most of them are stoners and struggle once they try and get off it. For me I'm realising if it's used religiously it goes beyond just being for fun and is used for a particular reason, which I have cynically calculated may be for self-medicating things like anxiety and bleak thoughts. If you've quit before you must know what I'm talking about. Life is dull without weed for me, that's for sure. But I'm gonna keep going to regain my lung health and get inspired to live without worrying about when my dealer's home.
What's wrong with cynicism anyway?

Re: Doseth thou smoketh the cheeba?
quit a few years back, then got my job which comes with random drugs testing, so now even if i did want to spark up i can't, never really think about it anymore though.
Re: Doseth thou smoketh the cheeba?
I just think everyone has a different reaction to it. I find that I'm amazingly creative, and hyped up and happy without it. When I do smoke, these days, I get paranoid and insecure, and just want to curl up in bed. The only positive thing is that it makes me a little bit more empathetic and under control. I'm usually a massive arsehole when I'm not high, but it's a worthy sacrifice.

Some people can't hack their own mind! Schizophrenia is the brand name
Alright now!
Won't you listen?
When I first met you, you didn't realize
I can't forget you or your surprise
You introduced me to my mind
And left me wanting, you and your kind
I love you, Oh you know it
My life was empty, forever on a down
Until you took me, showed me around
My life is free now, my life is clear
I love you sweet leaf, though you can't hear
Come on now, try it out
Straight people don't know, what you're about
They put you down and shut you out
You gave to me a new belief
And soon the world will love you sweet leaf

Re: Doseth thou smoketh the cheeba?
I used to smoke weed fair amount.
Then i had to stop. I've always had a slight tendency towards not being able to handle anger too well. When I used to smoke i got consistently worse and worse about it going into real blind rages from time to time over little.
Got very paranoid too. Very lazy. Tired etc.
Stopped and it faded away again.
