is it worth putting up?
Not really, if I am honest unless you get posted on blogs (with the youtube video) and that or have succesful releases/radioshows .. etc.. basically, if you're growing as an artist people on will probably watch/listen to you on youtube, other than that its pretty pointless in my experience but what do I know! hahaha, theres people who've been producing for 6 months and have vinyl deals and probably have 20,000,000 youtube views so maybe its me whos doing it wrongly.

There are a couple of guys who host my stuff on youtube after finding it on soundcloud and places like that, like most things I think just wait till somebody else hosts your videos, I think I've hosted one video and it was just so my account looked less barren. Dunno if the youtube videos help much to be honest, but I think the videos of my stuff that are up have as many views as my soundcloud has plays - I don't think that means much though. But I do know lots of artists who set up youtube accounts so it might be worth looking into, I guess it's like everything, if you set it up and do nothing with it you'll probs get no return, but if you're active you might see something come out of it, if nothing else at least just a few subscribers who listen to your music regularly and it's always nice to know somebody's listening.
