mine sound perfect

eyes sounds perfect

only issue i have is one of the earlier neck crack snares on livin different makes my needle skip, i had the same issue with one of the first presses of joker's 80s where the ridiculous snare cracks made the needle skip. change the weight on the needle - no skip

otherwise the vinyls have warmth, volume and perfection.

i'm sorry but in my mind, this is a perfect release. sounds great, it sounds great cranked up on a GOOD system, and it sounds pretty damn good on a weak system. if you experience anything different, either your system is fucked or your vinyl is fucked. transistion have come good many, many times and this is one of the last eps i would ever expect to have a 'bad' batch so to speak.

Obviously this isn't going to sound exactly the way you've listened to this on a mix 100's of times.
Mine are all perfectly fine, sound quality is immense, Eyez is perfectly mastered.
Obviously Mountain Dread March is quieter because it is 33, all music recorded at 33 is quieter compared to 45.
Props to Mala and Jason
This. Mine is playing fine as well. In the short mixing session i had earlier all i found was that i had to eq the bass of Mountain Dread March a bit to get it on par with the others. However as Hibbie as pointed out, its pressed at 33.

Trouble is with this thread i cant tell if people are trolling or not :|

Awesome patronising there, good work.

Some people are having problems with Living Different cos it skips, not their setup :t:

lol @ the amount of arse kissing goin on in this thread

The record is a bad pressing, some copies skip/one tune is not on par with the others (if it actually plays at all)

How come these guys dont get a roasting when they make a mistake like certain other artists do.

Its unacceptable that ppl are releasing tunes which are edited to sound like they're skipping, when the ones that they play themselves sound fine

Just admit it & stop jumpin up 2 get a lick of mala's batty

yeh but all mine sound fine except Mountain Dread March as others has said, needs the gain boosted, like all 33's pretty much

some people's Livin Different is skippin, thats bad

but people were always gona find something to complain about, if it was some records skipping, or some of them not sounding right, it was that they were taking too long to release it, people weren't gettin the record when they wanted it, their local didnt stock it, whatever... Mala attracts attention like this, its not the end of the world, take it back or send it back and get another fucking record. and get a grip.

No one has ever had a roasting because of a poor press or poor mastering, however they have had constructive criticism eg Silkie- City limits, No one strating going on about how pissed off they were with the artist like you are doing, instead everyone pointed out the faults in a mature way and the result was for the whole press to be withdrawn and to be remastered and repressed again.

2 years tho! We been waiting for these dubs for 2 YEARS!!!!

If borgore can do the job properly & deliver a good quality pressing which sounds like the track he played on dubplate then surely......

Also @ Hibbie...
My original point was not referring to a simple mistake. Its the fact that the track is deliberately different to the version played by hatcha & the other main dj's

The tracks magic was in the way it drops & mala has deliberately taken it out, now the track is just bare bones & unplayable by my standards.

Now it seems that other producers are doing the same thing (changing their songs for the release version)
its not on, we want the version that the pioneers advertised to us. Not some half arsed rerub

okay look

a lot of people seem to have issues with the third disc in particular

speak to the shop you got it from AFTER playing with your setup. if they can't get it right for you then get a refund and go elsewhere.

most of the people posting in this thread have an issue, if most of the people who'd bought a copy that was perfect posted in this thread i guarantee it'd be looking rosy right now.

to start denoucing the release as terrible, badly mastered or some kind of rip-off because it doesn't sound how it does in some mixes from time ago is ridiculous. stop being childish. this set of discs was quietly announced, quietly released and with the exception of this thread quietly anticipated. to say that mala or transistion dropped the ball is way, way off the mark. mala and transistion have put forth many DMZ releases and countless deep medi releases and similarly they have been full of warmth and perfect, with the odd batch problem as an exception.

if you bought a dvd copy of a movie that you hotly anticipated would you rinse the producer or the dvd maker? or would you take it back to the shop and get a different copy? if it wasn't the same experience at home as it was in the cinema would you throw your toys out of the pram? be reasonable. silkie's city limits had a few issues, most people replaced their copies and went on with their lives.

I haven't played mine yet because I haven't got round to buying a new needle. I'll be gutted if it's fucked.

voice of reason!

am I the only one here who hasn't had any problems whatsoever with the pressing? do we really need to explain to peeps the difference between 33 and 45? If your needle's skipping on living different, it's too heavy, end of.

what so if the other 5 tracks all play fine but 'Livin' Different' is skipping then you have to adjust the weight on your needle just for that one track...

my livin different is unplayable after playing around with my set up.

Pretty gutted, seems like alot of people having the same issue. Maybe grounds for a repress if theres a significant amount.

I dont really get why / how some would be fucked and others not.

i don't know why that would be, but it's the case for a at least 7 records in my collection, most of those are really old records tho
