Dekoy Recs Accepting Demos Now!

Post by dekoy records » Mon Jul 05, 2010 3:00 pm

Oi oi producers!
We've been a bit quiet recently as far as releases go, but we're now taking dubstep/dnb demos again for digital release. We don't limit ourselves to any particular style as we're looking to put some variety out there. So whether you produce bangers or chill out tunes get them across!
Once mastered the tracks will be sent off to all good online stores (Beatport, iTunes, Juno, play.com, HMV to name only a few), so if you've got something you need to get out there don't miss out on this!
You can send your tunes using soundcloud http://soundcloud.com/dekoy-records
or you can send them to demos@dekoyrecords.net.
If you have any questions at all feel free to contact us: contact@dekoyrecords.net.
We will listen to every track we recieve as we're looking for as much talent as we can find, so get sending

Sent you 2 tunafish. One needs to be mastered a bit better and the other one I'm not a huge fan of, but you gotta start somewhere, right?

i like that he says "any style" and then you go to their soundcloud dropbox and it says "only dubstep, garage and d&B". that's quite a wide range.

there's different styles of all three bludling. ie. drumstep, drillstep, mt-eden step, doorly step, gorestep, brutal electro step, jump up garage, future garage, gym conversion garage, half time dnb, full time dnb, extra time dnb, penalties dnb....the list is endless
if he said any genre that would be a different thing innit.
NEW TRACK BELOW!

We invest a fair amount into getting our releases out there, we therefore have to promote the living daylight out of them just to get something back, and in the past we have done so (keeping in mind that the artist obviously recieves more than we do).

Yeah we don't accept any genre just all styles of those genres. Thanks for clearing that up. The reason that was there was because of all the house and trance demos we were getting, which were good, but not what we were looking for.

Spot on 60/40. We all produce ourselves so we know how much hard work goes into making the track and it should be rewarded. Fair enough it takes a lot of hard work to run a label but there are 3 of us to share the weight haha.

There's no rush to get anything across by any certain date by the way, we're always on the look out for new tunes so if youre working on something at the moment you want to send just take your time and send it whenever it's ready.
