I thought he was just giving it out with newspapers anyway?
And as for the whole copyright/internet law, I was taught a fair bit about this but I can't remember the specifics; I do remember that online laws are pretty similar to real life laws e.g. police can't search for your stuff unless they have reasonable suspicion or have a warrant. p2p works because ISPs would have a hard time justifying going through everyone's traffic without upsetting potential customers and ulitmately infringing on privacy laws. But like in real life if there's a serious crime brought against you, like terrorism, the police can monitor your actions, the online equivalent would be child porn I guess.
batshit doesn't even start to cover it. I wish prince and mj could have teamed up for a reality tv show. Maybe a road trip or something? Would have been epic.

Glad you're used to it, just wait for the cameras to be in your house.
You know what I find funny both about Prince and MJ:
that these two eyeliner-wearing femmeboys - to this day - continue to get massive props and cred from the hardest thugs you'll meet in the 'hood. At least, in America anyway. It's uncanny. Many of my neighbors fit this descriptive (genuine prison-tattoo and gunshot-wound thugs) and if you start cracking jokes about Prince's high heels or Michael touching little boys, they don't think it's funny.
Shit now I have to sell my computers, gaming systems and iPhone while they are still worth something.
Wirez are you seriously saying you want the man watching the internets 247 too??? Fuck that I'd rather never make another penny on music than have big bro everywhere I go.

"Those who would sacrifice liberty for security deserve neither."
Yes he is serious. These kids are raised in environments with ever more government control, and they think it is normal & acceptable. Their children's children will have monitors implanted in their brains and they will think it is totally normal.

The internet could do so much more to stop illegal file sharing and people wouldn't be able to do cock all about it.
How?
Heavier moderation from ISP's. The internet should only be free to do what you like to some extent, law and order should be in place the same as the real world.
Problem is, that involves your ISP watching every second of your internet activity and handing over to the government. Not pleasant, and probably not legal depending on what country you live in. People will always find ways to bypass the latest prevention technology anyway.
As I'm in the UK I'm being watched on CCTV everywhere I go anyway, like I said... It wouldn't be different from real life! But yeh, I don't really do anything on the internet that I'm ashamed of anyway, I watch a bit of porn but that's all legal
You have the mind of a criminal.
Whyrez please dont start advocating this... My ISP refuses to give us proper modems in faovr of banning many of the popular file sharing networks (bittorrent, gnutella, ect.) whcih have VERY legitimate purposes. Its a result of this that has cost alot of people freedom to use simple protocols to transfer files between each other.
And its notable my ISP wants to remove our access to sites which offer FLv conversion, or search of hosting sites like rapidshare and mediafire.
What your saying, gives them a way too restrict freedoms, and have us support it.

Why do you continue to give them money? Surely Verizon or Comcast operate in your area.

Net Neutrality can't come fast enough.
I think maybe Basic A is from the sticks because Verizon and Comcast is defo in the area and I have had both and they are both crooks but have let me do my thing for the most part. Comcast may or may not have been blocking me from seeding for a while I am not really sure but they have done it in different areas of the countries for defos. I think they backed off when the customers became outraged although they never seemed to respond very well to me bitching about all the shit they add to the bill.
Verizon n comcast do operate in my area, haha, washington isnt too stick-ish man, I dont have much of a choice when I use my neighbors internet.... lol... Im not giving anyone money though, your right, so I ahve little room to bitch...
I jsut think ISPs shouldnt intervene in this sorta thing, I agree sites like youtube and myspace shoul patch download bugs faster though...
His name is Prince, the buck stops there. Anything he says after finding out what he calls himself can only make one stupider for listening to him talk.
Besides the last thing he did that got any attention was dunking on Dave Chappelle on the Chappelle show. And that was just making fun of his midgetness.

I really doubt consumers had anything to do with it. They have a monopoly where I am. You either use comcast or you don't get cable internet. They can throttle, block, or cap me as much as they want, and my only recourse is not to be on the net anymore.

Actually I think you are right, I think they were made to quit doing that. I can't remember what the story is. The whole communications industry is fucked up like that. Same with my phone where I pay for "unlimited" internet but everyone knows there is a "soft cap" in place. It is false advertisement if you ask me. I do have a choice I switched to Verizon who is just as bad, no they are actually worse because it's the same problems but it's DSL instead and my speeds are retarded. I did tests on my iphone switching back and forth from wifi to 3g and 3g beat it every time. Oh christ this could be a long thread we had to go there lol

Oh and just to be fair I was downloading a movie while doing the test but that is insane that one little torrent can choke the living shit out of my internet.
