silly thread is silly

I'll play the marmite remix out once or twice while it's fresh. I think it hits...
Doctor P is cool, his tunes are bangers, they make people go crazy at peak hour. That's all.

I'm all ABOUT tunes like Glut and Footcrab, and on the other end Livin Different and Tenopause,
but fuck man, let yourself enjoy something silly every once in a while. At least the marmite remix
has some flow and rhythm, most of them power-tool sounding tunes are just incomprehensible...

Will I be super over this tune in a few because everyone will be playing it? probably... so what?

I agree though I dont mind some Borgore, Sleepy head remix is the fuckin bomb though, I couldnt believe Brogore made that shit.

But like I stated earlier, Doc P's stuff is good for what it does, smashing the dance at peak hours, nothing more. Im sure when he makes tunes he doesnt think they will stand the test of time. Unlike Synkro tunes which I can listen to everyday since they get released and never get bored of them.

This Marmite remix will get rinsed the fuck out till a new banger comes out and the same thing will happen.

I happen to like the deep stuff and the jump up, both styles are used for different reactions and feelings.

Speak for yourself bucko. Who you playin records for ? A bunch of nuns @ the local church ? Chainsaw Calligraphy is not only hard to spell, it fuggin smashes all dancefloors. Key is, you must play it loud. Make the little kiddies run away with horror. Then you've done your job well. Got it ?

totally agree. i live in the US and sweet shop is one of the first dubstep tracks i play for people who are like "I dont know about dubstep."

you cant drop heavy shit on everyone right away. especially if youre trying to expand dubstep, you need music like doctor p to get the fringe people closer to the core.

doctor p tunes exist so i can play better tracks later in my set.

Who cares lol - most not all but most of theses wibble wobble tunes aint got no lastability like they r just here for a bit then they r gone its all about the timeless deep tracks thats my opinion and by the way i love tear out tracks too half of these wobble tracks are shit cos they copied some 1 elses sound anyway once again this is just my opinion 8) 8) 8)

It isn't a problem with wobble, its the execution of it and partly to the following it has.

Put some Coki - Goblin on and we all love the wobble but I bet the scenesters don't have a clue!

Let them be. And as I said before, I like Sweetshop.

Although It spawned a load of gash tracks Chainsaw Calligraphy was an incredibly creative track with interesting production in it.

Dr P is not heavy or filthy or what ever people call it. all. Sweet Shop, Badman Sound and some others are just silly ass Clipz sounding tracks. They do nothing for me. They may get people going on the dancefloor but those people are kind of idiots to be honest half the time. It's like how jump up dnb is. Just churning out silly basslines with the same drums and dry production isn't making something filthy or heavy. It needs more in the rhythms, more of an atmosphere and attitude. Filth doesn't come from just the type of sound the bass line is.

a lot of what people call the "bass" in those songs is pretty mid-range imo

Well yeah. When I saw bassline I mean the whole of the sound. Unfortunately in most of these tracks they lack much of the real bass part of it.

Heres a tune by Doctor Ps other project Slum Dogz, forthcoming Circus. I really like it.

Kinda thought after the piano stuff it was gonna drop like sweet shop but it kinda went a different way.

Like Footcrab and all the other "future juke"?

I don't know, looping a vocal over and over stock 808 hits is pretty silly to me...

When you see kids going crazy at clubs to tracks by Doctor P and such...it's usually because they are young, have something to prove and/or are wasted. These people aren't dancing to music because it moves inside them. They like the sound of bass coming out of a huge stack of speakers while they down shots of whiskey and eat shit rolls. they enjoy getting rowdy with their friends at a club, regardless of the actual music content. If girls are dancing, guys are happy. Get the crowd hype and sell tracks! Justin Bieber! Black Eyed Peas! Rusko!
