yeah they were really dominating during the whole match. Altho I think germany played too defensive. Only near the end they showed that they could really play some football
Yeah, i think every team that has tried the over-defensive approach had payed for it. Don't know what happened to Germany in that game but Spain did a great job of pressuring and closing down German players from the start. Not great at getting people in the box when necessary which they need to work on for the final now but Germany just seemed to be unable to create and maintain those fantastic breaks this new team has quickly become known for. Spain to win the world cup now then!

don't be so sure of that yet man :p. Football is hard to predict, and even if you know something of it, it's still much luck. Imo, Spain and the Dutchies are very different teams. It's going to be an interesting match for sure.
And you're right: spain started playing the ball around from the start, they had almost no ball loss, almost no bad passes, whereas Germany did. The first time they couldn't give 3 passes without loosing the ball. Also Spains transitions were way smoother: over the ground, not in the air, very fast and precise. Also good running and movement. Spain is a school example of how a teams should play together.
Ahh i meant in terms of preference

. I actually can't say who i genuinly think will win as both are definitely great teams. Should be a fantastic final though and as knell said it's actually refreshing to have brand new champions for a change.
This world cup has been great at showing just how far underestimated teams can get with determination and real passion as all the biggest footballing nations boasting the titles and superstars with all the endorsements and money have dropped out so easily. Been a pretty good tournament for the value of unpredictability

. And hopefully some of these world renowned teams (including Brazil) can look back at how these nations have played with real spirit and unity and take note for next time so rather than placing all our hopes of entertainment on a few individual overhyped celebrities and end up dissapointed, we can expect some brilliant football from solid teams that are prepared to put their all in to win. What a better place to show that than Africa who btw have been excellent hosts!
