not trying to be a dick but the drums in the song in your sig sound flat, boring, repetitive. genuine criticism there, not trying to troll you. snare could use a higher end layer to pop out and kick could definitely use something more. :w:

Thats how i wanted them thanks :) . i wanted the focus on everything else BUT the drums.
Unless you mean the kick has no elongated "tail" , the drum kick is far from "flat" .check your monitors bro.

BTW ...wheres your tracks?

Geuss you think Skreams remix of La Roux going in for the kill is boring and repetitive too eh?

Tell that to post/modern bossa nova and cocktail jazz artist. there are more elements that makes
music move.but as you state, its your opinion. even if its incorrect. :t:

Might be why alot of people making dubstep sound the same as well. :/

Lmao dude I was trying to find a way to sort of "imply that people might want a more complex, interesting, multitimbral sound with more dimension and that layering would be conducive to that..." but you just got the nail right on the head.

If anything that's a perfect example on why layering drums is great.
Don't let him soil the reputation of acoustic drums though. Program a Superior Drummer line and run say the snare through a Softube FET or CLA, you'll get some Mama Mia! finger kissing goodness :D
Bounce out a few different snares and process each to take care of different parts of the overall sound and then condense them into one.

quick question. Do you even produce music? just asking.

LOL @ my tunes average. eeeeee.

If i wanted more "interesting" drums..i wouldve done so :)

you kinda remind me of a scenester emo kid debating on "thats not how you do emo"
My opinion is you dont need layering to make solid or "unique" drums if you want to. simple . suck it up and move along.

Dude this is your response to anyone who criticises you. Yes your tunes sound average. No you're not half as intelligent as you think. Trying to discuss anything with you is banging your head against a wall because you're so stuck up your own ass you don't even listen to what people say. You just use it as another excuse to insult them and then hype yourself up by telling everyone how you do it and how it's so much better than their way. This would be a logical approach if your tunes weren't piss off awful but unfortunately they obviously are.

"If i wanted more "interesting" drums..i wouldve done so" Right and I bet if you wanted a less mediocre track you would have done so but it was an artistic decision correct?
Moxxie can make good music but he chooses not to because that's what everyone else is trying to do. Much more alt to try and make shit generic youtube music. They'll never see it coming!!!

yes bruv your tracks are average... are you that full of yourself that you can't take criticism? i never said your drum tweaking methods weren't viable, i just said the drums on that track suck, and maybe you should do something with them before you get into a multi-page forum thread about how you make your drums sound good. if you remember, you're the one who said "don't bother with that layering crap." it's not crap, it's a real method that a lot of producers use. ones that are better than you, if you can believe it! :Q:

Not to sound like a tnuc, but if anyone's gonna play the big "I am", you gotta back it up with something mind blowing or what do you expect on a forum.
....speaking as someone who had previously been brutalised by Moxxie's harsh words on youtube ( )

Unless you were trolling on a fake dubstep artist name, i dont recall talking to you.

But if your trying to make an attempt at saying my songs arent good.. 1:57 tune with the same bass and instrumental loop with no drop is hardly "mind blowing"

If not, then good job on making the bass sound clean.

wasnt criticizing you really. just having a debate on opinions. unlike the rest of these kids that dont get that and like to get offended and take it to another level .

you have your ways of doing things and I have mine. i could careless though if you thought my music suck :) considering you dont have any tracks ive heard i cant judge what your music - if you make any - sounds like .

you like your drums to make an impact as you stated , so do I .but sometimes I like subtle ,simple drums. All in taste.

I'm not 12. I don't troll. Just a "noob" observing who never claimed to be he was anything special AND who wasn't supprised you started getting the replies you did.
Not saying your songs are no good. Everyone's in the same game here, no need to bleed ego all over the place

What's this? Someone who admits they don't know everything and doesn't try to impose their sweaty bigshot balls all over everyone?
Quite frankly I'm astounded Jem. Thank you for showing me the other side, where people can be humble and not try to front and show off constantly on the internet because their dad didn't like their finger painting when they were 4.

Do I want to a post a video of "My first dubstep wobble circa 2008" for the whole forum to see? ...Not really.
It's not a big deal anyway. Just a whole rant from you about how I shouldn't be using FL.
and no offence ( and really, with all the shit flying your way tonight, I really don't intend to cause more with this) I'd had enough people taking the piss and telling me to switch to Ableton who were actually making money with their music, and it fucked me off to be told the same by some unknown producer I didn't even know (ie, er.. you)

And NO, before you start; just 'cos someone's signed/or making money from his work dosn't immediately validate their opinion on what DAW I should use.
ANYWAY.
Enough of this. :)
Good luck. God Speed & all that :t:
