Yeah it actually took me a while to understand why beatslicers seemed so important to some people and that these same people were all not using Renoise.
I remember this thread where a guy explained that to accurately slice breaks you had to use both Recycle & Sound Forge + secret ninja moves. Jeez man, just get Renoise.

i love making a break and then renedering slection to sample, slice it up then going nuts in the pattern editor.... it just all makes so much sense...

only thing that pisses me off is the long sample thing, where it only plays if you play before the start of the note.... makes doing vocals so anal without lubey.....

if were to record a band (wrong forum but whatever) and i had reaper, how would you go about doing the rewire?

im planning on doing everything through renoise except for guitar and vocals... which way should i rewire?

How did this thread suddenly become all about the worst DAW of them all??

I'm gonna fully warp everyones minds now by doing a top 6 LIST!

That's right folks, a mothertruckbusting TOP 6 LIST

1:Ableton
2:Reason
3:Logic
4:Reaper
5:Cubase
6:FruityLoops

Anything else = waste

Fact 100%

Maybe if that were a topographical map of a mountain with Logic and Reaper being at the peak...

Your face is green, your arguement is invalid.

Top DAWs in the following order.

1> Reaper.
2> Waste gash
3> More gash
4> Skanky gash
5> Logic
6> errr.....

That is how I used reason back in the day except I used acid as well. 4 different programs at once. It got to the point I wanted to add more samples but just felt too lazy to go through all that. This is why I am so keen on liventhese days so easy a caveman can do it. And more importantly one program to do it all with.

I can't argue with that..probably shouldn't have smoked so much when I was young..

I think it unfair that the reaper users are ganging up with the logic users...YOU HAVE NOW BEEN REMOVED FROM MY LIST!

Ableton, Reason, Cubase and Fruity VS Reaper and Logic

Let the true wars commence now ehy!!

My weapon of choice?

A MIDRANGE SAW!

AND SOME HEAVY BASS!!

No, no parkour, I'll try to run along curbs every once in a while when I've had a drink but I usually don't get too far.
I do enjoy playing Mirror's Edge as well :D

Except for the weak weapon shit "Oh sweet I got an M16! .... Oh shit it has like seven bullets and I just dropped it because I had to climb something..."
