i'm still just going to buy up as many as i can. i have 3 so far. at least by the time they are all gone, and i have 20+ black copies, then i can just get my money back plus profit for all of that failed effort. i only wanted 2, but now i'm going to have a big pile of these! lol...

calbo wrote:still never got this one.... why is it "DIGITAL MYSTIKZ - RETURN II SPACE" and not "MALA - RETURN II SPACE"? it even says on the back "ALL TRACKS WRITTEN, PRODUCED, ARRANGED AND MIXED BY MALA"

:i:

Digital mystikz goes further then a name, it's their music. They feel everything they're making are digital mystic beats.
Well that may be, but for almost every other release on DMZ the artists get the rights to their individual name, for example "coki - officer/mood dub" "mala - bury da bwoy/hunter" etc. the only exception i hear of is dmz007 where apparently haunted is just by coki yet it comes under digital mystikz. still lost =/
Conference and Misty Winter are both Mala solo. Earth A Run Red is Coki solo. All three are Digital Mystikz.
I always liked the idea that if they both appear as Digital Mystikz, solo or together, they are just combining forces :) Corresponds with what calbo said. too.

Had 2 copies of this waitin for me after my return from holiday (south Africa!). the presentation is amazing, the gate fold sleeve is very cool and well constructed. I do find it a bit difficult reading which track is on which disc, IMHO it would have been cool to keep the usual dmz label format or something similar.

The tracks r good I think they are real growers. Mountain Dread March is my favourite, reminds me a bit of Blue Notez at the start n love the way it builds and is so long; pure epic!

Considering removing the shrink wrapping from my second copy to see if I got picture discs. Pure Willy Wonka business. Does anyone have a pic of the black picture discs someone mentioned earlier?

Look fwd to more dmz releases n hopefully a similarly styled Coki release!!

Big up Mala!

So I got the picture disk and decided to order 3 more copies from chemical...

I'll be really tempted to open the seals and look for another picture disk. Those with both picture and black: is there any way to tell the difference without opening the shrink wrap?
