But..
Reaper question, just downloaded a few vst's for use and whereas some have shown up when searched, others haven't.
They've all been put in the Reaper plugins folder so I'm not sure what the problem is, but the vst's in question are the Itchy synths.
And since I'm not used to vst's and such since only using Reason.
Anyhow thanks for any help..
Oh, and sorry if this has already been asked or covered somewhere but I'm much too busy learning how to use Reaper

Bass is love.

I don't use Reason and so don't know if its the same, but in FL Studio you have to secan for new VST's even when they are in the correct folder.

Why would you get flamed for asking a valid question buddy?
Close the pogram and reopen it. It will rescan the plugins folder for you. (You can also press F5 when you have the plugin selection window open).
Are you sure the .dll files for the itchy synths are in the directory selected for the VST's?
You can check by going to the 'Options' menu and selecting Preferences > VST.
The VST folder is listed at the top, and you can enter a new folder path if you wish.

Isn't the default vst folder for reaper the same as other DAWs which is "C:\Program Files\VstPlugins". So far pretty much every DAW I've tried has selected that as the default vst folder during installation. They all have their own plugin folders within the program's individual folder but usually it just holds the default built in VSTs you get with the software while it reads third parties from the vstplugins folder unless specified otherwise during the install.

I think you're right about the default VST fodler for most programs being C:\Program Files\Steinberg\VSTplugins or something.
I'm unsure of the default Reaper plugins location tbh, it's been a long time since I installed the program and have long since changed the folder to something convenient for me...
Setting the folder to read isn't hard, and if you add a comma after the first folder path, you can add a second and third etc.

@ the OP
Was it only the Itchy synths that didn't show up?
Were they placed in exactly the same folder as the other plugins .dll files?

*Edit
Sorry, found out the problem, my vst folder seemed to be corrupt?
Re-dowloaded all vst's and applied a path to my custom folder.
Thanks anyway.
