Yeh sort of... If you select all of the stems you want to bounce you can press shift+cmnd+e and select the setting of how you want to bounce the trackshackman wrote:is there a button you can press that bounces every track to wav?

Re: The Logic Q&A Thread
Figured id share a little something i just discovered that most of you prob know already. When bouncing midi to audio for resampling or whatever purpose, instead of bouncing in the traditional way you can do the following.
Bus the midi track you want to bounce to an aux channel, lets say Bus 1.
Create a new audio track and change the input form input 1 to Bus 1.
Record enable both channels and your set, internal bouncing. Saves allot of time.

Or you could just bounce in place if you have Logic 9[binge] wrote:Figured id share a little something i just discovered that most of you prob know already. When bouncing midi to audio for resampling or whatever purpose, instead of bouncing in the traditional way you can do the following.

Didn't have the CD anymore and you can't load samples without the drag and drop preset. Or at least I couldn't. But sorted as found someone with discs still and got it.wirez wrote:I was going to say exactly that but didn't want to be too opinionated heheDepone wrote:yeah i really dont rate the ultrabeat kits. they are a bit wack imowirez wrote:Lol why not just get yourself a couple of good sample packs and make your own ultrabeat packs? Re: The Logic Q&A Thread
I've got a couple of issues I'd like to address, took me ages to find this post to bump so hopefully somebody has some information
1. Do people sometimes find that when looping sections your beat will jump out of place (most noticeable with the kick)? I have been told that this is the first beat being emphasised and helps musicians to keep track of where the first beat is, but it's doing my nut because I can't keep track of my peak levels properly. Does anybody know if there is a way to turn it off?
2. I've been having an issue lately regarding dragging audio in from the finder into the arrange page. It causes Logic to completely spaz out and the arrange window to freeze up and I can't open any of the external menus or even right click on the Logic icon, it also means the line to represent where the region is on the timeline disappears so I have to completely force quit Logic and reopen every time it happens. It's not completely crashing, I can still save with key commands before quitting, but it's still completely spazzing out. Just wondered if anybody else has had this problem at all because it doesn't seem to be on google at all? I can still import audio fine through the menus, it's just the drag and drop that seems buggy! - Depone told me to repair my disk permissions and I've done that but haven't tried since, so it might have helped. Just wanted to know if anybody else has had the problem?

If your loops (im guessing your using the loop tool at the top right of the audio clip right?) aren't perfectly in time, ie if the first loop doesnt start or end EXACTLY on a bar's worth of time, then each time its looped, its going one more bit out of time each time... so make sure you zoom in and correct that, otherwise do what i do and Click-Alt-Drag to copy it over n over. This way you can make adjustment in one clip ata time cause editing one in loop mode changes them all.
A2:
Have you tried creating an audio track and hitting CMD->Shift->'I' to import audio instead of dragging and dropping? This issue may also be down to the amount of ram thats free at the time. Also... another way is to open up your audio bin, and click "audio->Import audio" then drag it from the audio bin.
Re: The Logic Q&A Thread
@A1: Hehe I'm talking about looping as in playing a loop with the loop selection, not an actual loop... I'm perfect with my time stretch/zero crossingsDepone wrote:A1:wirez wrote:I've got a couple of issues I'd like to address, took me ages to find this post to bump so hopefully somebody has some information![]()

@A2: Yeh, that's what I'm doing now... It's not a big problem but I just find it quicker d&ding from the finder to be honest!
Re: The Logic Q&A Thread
i bought logic last week... 2 things knocked me out of the down-on-all-four-fine-broad i usually sit on when i make beats...
1. the program itself as a whole.
2. the fact that u can customize ur shortcuts in no time. my tip : take some time to read the list of shortcut-assignable controls u get by pressing Alt + K
my personal favourite is the Forward to next transient... thats like heaven to me.
oh and logic went nuts for me too when i dragged a sample in it today. figured out i was better off doing it the legit way : creating an audio session, stereo, and inserting from within the program instead of dragdroppin it
pc1 lads

Just got logic rocking with duel screens

Re: The Logic Q&A Thread
I have my TV plugged to my iMac but can never be bothered to turn it on and look all the way over there. It is extremely helpful with Logic, I just wish I had room for a more permanent fixture!Depone wrote:Just got logic rocking with duel screens

Drums out of sync
i've been making a tune on logic 9 and everything was sounding fine. then out of nowhere the highhats/percussion have gone out of sync with the kick and snare. when i mute the kick and snare the hats are in time with the rest of the track and the same goes with when i mute and hats and play the kick and snare with the rest of the track. i've bypassed all the fx on both bus tracks and on the full drum track to make sure the problem is not caused by one of the fx. does anyone know what i can do to fix the problem
Re: Drums out of sync
Have you got plugin delay compensation turned on? I remember plugs like PSP's vintage warmer creates quite a lot of this...martinosaur wrote:i've been making a tune on logic 9 and everything was sounding fine. then out of nowhere the highhats/percussion have gone out of sync with the kick and snare. when i mute the kick and snare the hats are in time with the rest of the track and the same goes with when i mute and hats and play the kick and snare with the rest of the track. i've bypassed all the fx on both bus tracks and on the full drum track to make sure the problem is not caused by one of the fx. does anyone know what i can do to fix the problem
