Took a quick spin through lazer bass was not very impressed. Will post up samples if I wake up today.

Went through electronic instruments, am very impressed. I love purpose built devices... that sound good.

Tested last night and I don't wanna go back :) Is this gonna be free for 5.1 owners? because I love the new layout and
I love the Electronic Instruments especially Photone. Lazerbass seems to be aimed at the Bass music maker but nothing special there is even a preset called 'Bristol Bass' or something, could get some nice sounds going quickly though with it.

I have a major hard on for reaktor right now. Think I'm going to be spending far more time in there.

So what is the deal, back in the day, there were no commercially available ensembles? Now it seems like all the good stuff is paid? Like those electronic instruments, they sound and work good, brothers. No jokes.

Is there a way to get multiouts with reaktor. Like with some of their beat making plugins, I'd like to have separate outs for each drum element?

Yes Pedro, gonna be free and Noways, can definitely have multi outs, think it's done with that ext. button at the top of each ensemble? At work atm so can't check.

Anyone know how to use Metaphysical Function...or know what it does???

yeh, i've owned the EX2 range of ensembles for a while (and i'm gonna probably sell my EX2 box now this update is here)...Metaphysical is a sound generator which is controlled by automated faders and controls. (i.e. it is not a synth which you play...it plays it's self)

3 oscillators on one side (A), 2 on the other (B) and a sampler module the output of which is mixed with side A and side B...

you record automation data by clicking on the small rectangle below each fader (it will start to flash) then slide the fader as you wish and then let go and click the small rectangle...it then fades as you controlled it.

or hit 'randomize' and see what happens. good eerie pad soundscapes and such.

Only just had time to install.

My god the new ensembles are awesome. With the radian soundlab ensembles and some of the gems from the user library im never going to need another synth ever again.

NI shot themselves in the foot a bit here imo - why upgrae to k7, only a bunch of sample packs... If theyd called this r6 theyd be laughing.

Lazerbass is sickness.
