How do i make this snare

I really like the snare in Skism - The Blank (16bit remix), anyone know how to make that kind of snare? Sounds really fat

Sounds like the kick layered with some white noise and compressed together (probably via a drum bus). Not to hard really!

Get any snare. Stick a limiter on it and a distortion unit. Crank it way up but bring the limiter down so its not going over the bd.

You could use white noise but the dist will make it sound like it without it.

I hope this fashion of making everything sound over compressed fades soon.
Don’t worry about people stealing an idea. If it’s original, you will have to ram it down their throats.
