FPC in Fl Studio
Hello there, i have a question about this FPC plugin that comes with FL studio. In my mind i can not see the need for it. Fl is essentially drum machine where you can add samples and have them triggered. What makes the FPC so different and what can it add, if anything to my tunes?
Any feedback appreciated.
Cheers

FPC (Fruity Pad Controller) is a software plugin similar to the hardware Akai MPC™ unit, coded & optimized for the FL Studio platform. FPC is a self-contained multi-layer/velocity drum machine that makes it easy to create, edit and swap drum kits on the fly. FPC supports 16 multi-layered patches for banks A and B
That's all I use outside of Direct Wave. It's great for layering drums and any one hits really. It also allows you to program all of the drums on one Piano Roll which makes it a lot nicer as I hate their Step Sequencer.

LOVE their step sequencer. Love programming beats on the step sequencer.
But sometimes I like to use my padkontrol to pound out beats. I use fpc for that.

Thanks for the replies. From what i see it doesnt really offer anything extra. I love the step sequencer too, it is awesome. Infact FL is awesome fullstop.

Then what you see is pretty limited. You don't need to be in such a rush to make a sweeping judgement. In time you may find what is valuable about it. I think it is one of the best drum samplers around, and if you ever work with midi controllers, it's value will be eminently apparent. Doesn't mean that you have to use it. But it is a very powerful tool.selhurstwunderkid wrote:From what i see it doesnt really offer anything extra.
