[TUT]Automating external VST in FL studio
I had this problem for a wile and think its only right i share the info
This is for people who have "none fruityloops" plugins and cant figure out the automation
First open your chosen VST (I used minimonster)
Go to the browser (were you find all your sample folders)
Open up "Current Project"
Then open "Generators" ( Or Effects for FX vst)
There will be a folder named "Fruity Wrapper (vstname)" in my case "fruity wrapper (minimonster)"
Inside you will see all the nobs on your VST named. KEEP THIS FOLDER VISIBLE
Now go to your VST and Move the Nob you wish to automate, The name in the browser will become selected
Right click the selected name in browser and click "Create automation clip"
You will now have a automation clip in playlist ready to use =)
Any other questions just ask

Alternatively, you can go to the top left of the fruit wrapper, click the arrow, click Create Editor Thumbnail, and it will go to the generator in the browser automatically.
Another way is to tweak the knob you want to automate or control, and then go to Tools > Last Tweaked or Tools > Next to Last Tweaked and then automate or control through that

Was so glad when I first found out about this, makes life so much easier (i.e. automating all the stuff in albino they didnt think was worth putting on the lists)Phigure wrote:Alternatively, you can go to the top left of the fruit wrapper, click the arrow, click Create Editor Thumbnail, and it will go to the generator in the browser automatically.

as far as i know, ALL controllable parameters will be in that list. maybe you just overlooked them.SesG wrote:Was so glad when I first found out about this, makes life so much easier (i.e. automating all the stuff in albino they didnt think was worth putting on the lists)Phigure wrote:Alternatively, you can go to the top left of the fruit wrapper, click the arrow, click Create Editor Thumbnail, and it will go to the generator in the browser automatically.

its still just a lot easier to just control the last tweaked rather than searching for some oddly named parameter, though
Re: [TUT]Automating external VST in FL studio
If you just go to the drop down menu at the top left of the wrapper there's an option for "Browse all parameters" or something like that. Will open up the browser on the left side of the screen and jump directly to your last used parameter. It's basically the same deal as the OP said but you don't have to go through the folders to get that menu open.

Also Super lazy way " Press record - record everything- move the nob u want to automate press stop open piano roll and change velocity to the new parimiter you just recorded"" then your self with a realy shitty version of automation , but its good when u only need to do something little
