Re: Master Class videos
Its just an insight on how they work.. Basically they make their own samples, making it sound like its old mo-town or something but its actually stuff they've recorded - its a little bit "Music making for dummies" and hes bit of a doofus but its quite interesting and slightly educational.tylerblue wrote:[lazy] What techniques does he teach? Loads of great stuff in here ->http://www.musictechtutorials.com/categ ... he-studio/
Re: Master Class videos
magazine masterclass vids are fine and can be v informative
best ones that spring to mind are - Funkadgenda and Sabre
but the best tips you're likely to take away from them will be software specific
Interviews with high profile mix engineers/producers are the ones you want to be checking imo
all the emphasis they put on recording instruments so that they're the recordings are the best they can be, signal chains/flow, how they approach different hardware for different jobs and in what order etc.
it can all totally be applied to making sample based electronic music produced completely ITB
but its these type of vids that really get you thinking about your overall approach and the stamp that you want to have on your music - especially when it comes to mixing
Eric Thorngren is a great example

Several of the Youtube ones don't work, being that youtube likes to pull stuff off. But a good portion of the vids do work. And some interesting tips for those of us who have no clue. (me.)
