Amazing achievement from Nolan. The comparison to the Matrix is unavoidable (a testament to the Matrix's originality) but in the end this is a much better film and Nolan's career (Memento, Insomnia) is levels beyond Wachowski bros. (Speed Racer, Matrix 2-3). The ending may be "predictable" (if you've seen his other films) but it is executed in a brilliant and stylish fashion. This is Memento on LSD.

2 pages in and as expected Parson has already ruined another potentially good thread by imposing his 'beliefs' on us...I dont know whether I should continue reading or not?

I would bang the shit out of Ellen Page
what is of value and wisdom for one man seems nonsense to another.

This.... Because Leonardo De Caprio was hilariously awful in Revolutionary Road, and has not really made any decent films for the best part of fifteen years.
And Inception looks like a right load of existential gash of the highest order.
and for this reason.....

i hear you
but i find it funny that people think parson "imposes" his beliefs on them
surely just don't take the effort to read his posts, or block him?
i mean, it is just an internet forum, how good can a film thread be?

He does in a way that he accuses people of being stupid for not agreeing with his point of view.

yeah i agree he can definitely come across as arrogant when in a discussion/argument
(sorry parson)
i think he needs to work on his frustration management, cos some of the replies you get when debating this are frustrating to hell

Im afraid I have to disagree with this. I thought he was great in The Departed, Catch Me If You Can, Gangs Of New York, Body Of Lies, Shutter Island and Blood Diamond. He was an actor I never really had time for (Titanic and Romeo & Juliet) but has now become one I really enjoy seeing.

i was gonna post the exact same thing, he's made some great movies and some that aren't so good.
As an actor i think he's matured alot, he's also spent time making movies with some great directors of which im sure have rubbed off their cinema knowledge onto him
scorcese, ridley scott, spielberg and not to mention Nolan who doesn't have a huge selection of movies but the ones i've seen (practically all) have been top notch... Memento still on top btw
