I really wonder if some people here actually go OUT and enjoy music instead of sitting in your room by your self headbanging to some 'real dubstep'.

I like it, it seems like a lot of you guys dismiss it because its not the hard dubstep you are accustomed to from these dudes. Well guess what? If thats what you want to hear, spin their albums. Anyway, at T in the Park this year, Crookers spun this record. The tent went NUTS! Seriously, a very good tune. Got a better reception than Sweet Shop by Doctor P did.

what i don't get is all the hype round MAD?
it sounds like they're trying to be like all the other jump up dubstep being made now, but making it boring.

but saying that i really love most the tunes on their new album. (other than mad)

hahahaha amazing how much you can tell about someone from their views on one tune! everything i've heard from magnetic man so far has been pretty shite, both from the comfort of my bedroom and in clubs. cos i dont like it.

trance chords + autotune = me no likey

I don't hate this song because "it's not like their old stuff" or because "they're trying something different" or because it's "not proper dubstep". I hate it because it sounds like ass (to me.) Following the sentiment of many others in thread, this tune is going to appeal to clubs full of pretentious teen wankers on E. Ministry of Sound types and has been ravers. This stuff is not for me, it's not targeted at me and will pass by me along with so much other shit that people listen to these days. How long until they're guest vocalist is Lady Gag?

Respect to Benga and Skream and Artwork, yes they are A1 producers, they are going to get mainstream success with this. They are going to make shitloads of cash. Good for them.

I like it that Dubstep has gone from an underground, mostly unheard of genre, to something that is so diverse that it is influenced by almost all other genre's of music that exist today. So going by that, I would say that I support this song, and I think it's worthy of our praise. However, the fact that Skream, Benga, and Artwork got together to make this as their big hit is a bit perplexing.

I would expect something way grungier, with a lot more to the bassline, but maybe that's why they did it; to do something different.

Regardless of what they put out there, I will definitely have a listen and hope for the best. These guys are responsible for making Dubstep into what it is today, so if they want to go in a different direction, I will place my trust in them.

Would have to agree, Mad isn't the best of tunes. It's better than Certified Banger though, not feeling that one at all.

But as you said from what i have heard the rest of there album sounds properlly sick.

Fire
I Need Air
The Bug
Ping Pong
Perfect Stranger
Karma Crazy

All too sick. Can't wait.

Lol at all the people who are too insecure to allow themselves to appreciate anything other than brostep midrange-cackness. I don't care what genre i'm listening to as long as the tune is mint. I listen to everything INCLUDING pop, if it's good. This is a fucking amazing dubstep/pop crossover record and I say good on them for going mainstream and creating something with mass appeal without selling out and making something shit, this is a truly great tune and i'm very excited for the album.

Remember this album is gonna be absolutely massive and there are gonna be very dark 'bangers' on there as well so loads of people are gonna buy this for summery dance pop vibes and then have their minds blown by the other tracks XD knowing that gives me a very warm feeling for some reason.

Give me an example of a 'good' pop tune.
