Touche. Especially the first part. I guess I've just grown to hate the idea that one Artist A can become exponentially more successful than Artist B just by copying and pasting Artist B's track into a DAW and layering some extra drums on it --it seems like an unethical practice to me. I do understand that hiphop is historically rooted in a world of sampling, but that's whats always bothered me about the music, no matter how much I may enjoy it as a consumer. This discussion is, as mentioned, "handbags at dawn"--but hey, the title got your attention and my SoundCloud probably has about 80 more plays than it would have otherwise
