Whats the craziest thing you have ever witnessed?

More of a shock than crazy but a few months ago i Dj'd a little party in a small upstairs club, i was just heading out for a smoke when i saw the bouncers grabbing a guy by the arm pulling him towards the stars, at the top of the stairs a bouncer pushed him and he fell down the first set of stairs (bout 10-15) and was passed out cold, the bouncer then threw him like a rag doll down the other 4 sets of stairs about 20 steps each while he was passed out. (i did try to stop them but i was only with one mate and there where 4 bouncers) the guy eventually woke up in tears and could hardly speak/move. the bouncers whispered somthing in his ear and he suddenly went quiet. i went up to ask him how he was and he said he "fell" down the stairs. Lucky 40 mins later he decided to call the police.

when I was in Korea the second day I got there I was walking down the street with 2 friends and a very old drunken man was burning a small pile of rubbish in a field to get it ready for planting

basically he got too close to the pile with his back turned to it and the fire started licking up his pants, started consuming his shirt, etc and he was quickly completely on fire (!!!)

my 2 friends froze, I didn't even know what I was looking at, it was so surreal I thought he was a stunt man practicing being on fire, or they were shooting movie or something it just was so weird, you see shit like that on TV enough tho I couldn't make the differentiation in real life... but I had enough wits about me to run up to him, try to pour the contents of my nalgene water bottle on him (didn't do a thing) and then take off my down coat (which melted and got feathers everywhere) and smother him with it (that stopped the flames)

then the owner of this restaurant ran over with a large bowl of water and poured that on the poor man.. all his clothes were completely burned off, his jeans looked like a pair of underwear (pant legs burnt away) and the only part of him that didn't get touched by flame was the hair under his baseball hat, which after we took it off his head made it look like he had a bowl-cut because all the hair that wasn't under his cap was burnt down to his scalp like a baby-doll's.. skin was peeling off his hands, etc.. just grim

When I was a kid, we were parked at a liquor store, my dad was in the store, and I was in the car with my moms. A car came skidding into the dirt parking lot next to us, and this dude flopped out of the driver side door onto the ground. My moms got out and gave the dood mouth to mouth resuscitation for like 10 minutes until an ambulance arrived. By that time, the guy was dead. The craziest thing is his family was in his car, three blond daughters (1,2,3) in the back seat watched as my moms tried to save their dad. He died right in front of them. The craziest thing was the girls faces watching their father die.

At least the dood managed to stop the car without killing his family. Good man.

Surprised that no one has brought this up but... Craziest thing I've seen would have to be a plane flying in to the World Trade Center and then seeing people throw themselves out of windows as it burned.

maybe the whole world was traumatized into forgetfulness

Yes, WTC pretty much takes the cake for me. We heard about it in school and were sent home but I don't think the seriousness of it all really hit us until we saw what was happening on tv.

Seeing people jumping was some heartbreaking shit.

i didn't think this was like a pissing contest of freak-out shit. i watched it/felt it go down. surreal was probably the best way to describe it. i would probably be more freaked out and disturbed seeing some of the gruesome violent shit that other people have posted but again, none of this shit is "cool", just morbidly fascinating.

no disrespect intended at all mate, probably came across pretty wrong to which i apologise. ive seen people get mugged/have been mugged a few times, but i could never possibly imagine putting it up against seeing something like that. i cant even say i know how you feel, because i dont. at all. and no one will apart from the people in ny that day.

nah it's all good i just didn't want to sound like i'm trying to be hard or bragging about having seen 9/11. just saying that because it was so large scale, it's different and in some ways less emotionally disturbing than seeing someone get beaten to death up close or whatever. also in some ways the TV images have kind of replaced my actual memories due to over-exposure.

unless you work around there, most NY'ers don't go visit the site - it's literally just a massive construction site - in fact most people find it a little obnoxious that tourists come and want to take pictures of what is basically a hole in the ground. if anything, I'm frustrated that it's been almost a decade and not much has been accomplished (except the uncovering of an old ship lol). i also think the planned Freedom Tower is really ugly. most NY'ers have more or less moved on (not forgotten), except for the countless numbers that lost family/friends and also those that are suffering severe health problems due to the smoke that covered downtown Manhattan for weeks/months. anyway, this ain't a 9/11 thread (or 11/9 if you prefer ) but no worries about asking. what to say? it was wack!

Not really crazy but driving home today I saw a woman with what would appear to be a dead fox slung over her shoulder. Upon closer inspection it was just one GIANT dread lock lol. Literally looked like a dead animal. rough

Got my phone jacked by pikeys at (bread) knife point because a girl we were with took a pee against a wall, and they accused us of pissing on their house and also stealing their trike. One of my mates ended up calling the police (i told them not to bother as the phone was insured) but the police came and lined up all the pikeys from the 5 caravans. All the ones that had done it had changed their clothes so i said i didnt recognise them, but i did get my phone back. Could have been alot worse than it was. Have seen crazier shit that, but its just mainly muggins and fights in Croydon......not really anything un-normal for us.

speaking of strange cigarette antics. My brother asked me for a smoke so I said alright, but you have to catch it. He was stood probably a good 4, maybe 5 metres away, and I threw it with alot of force and he actually caught it in perfect smoking position. I was like

as a recovering lazy stoner, this is nothing new. i've seen people catch lit spliffs perfectly, stoned out of their faces many many times!
