i like how this guys tunes were only being played by a handful of people and now the tunes are slowly creeping into more and more peoples sets/radio shows/mixes etc.

Reaaaally feeling "Strategy", "groove on" and the breakdown on "siren".

V.I.V.E.K – Feel It EP
a. Feel It
b. Grandfather Clock
c. Motherland
d. Strategy
DEEP MEDi Musik
Cat No: Medi029
Release Date: 23rd August 2010

Deep, deconstructed Dubstep from the unknown quantity that is V.I.V.E.K. His second release on the DEEP MEDi imprint shows his versatility as a producer with a monster amalgamation of 80s digital roots, minimal Techno and Junglist vibrations rolled into four journeys of space and time.

The journey begins with Feel It. Physical pulsating bass and resonating snare hits crash alongside rich flowing Tablas. The masters of Dub and Reggae sound system culture inspire you with their words of wisdom on frequency response whilst the fierce and intense tribal atmosphere creates an immense possessing energy. Grandfather Clock starts with an eerie pendulum chime and atmosphere which drops into a hard hitting snare that smacks you round the face and a bass line that becomes more intense as the track progresses and is sure to rock the foundations, not one for the faint hearted! Motherland is a dark sinister journey to the sub continent where Indian vocals rest effortlessly on top of this dark, rolling, minimal beat. Isolated flutes and delicate hand symbols create an eerie presence whilst Tablas once again cement the eastern tension. Strategy finishes off this heavyweight release with V.I.V.E.K showing his diversity as a producer with a nod to Berlin’s minimal scene and the birthplace of Techno, Detroit. Strategy bubbles and weaves effortlessly in to your conscious with its deep, moody synth lines, shuffling beats and magnetic rhythm

DJ Support: Mala (DMZ),Distance (Chestplate), Joe Nice (Dub War/United States) Kryptic Minds and Youngsta.

Radio Support: Mary Anne Hobbs (Radio One), Nihal & Nerm (BBC Radio 1 and Asian Network) Benji B (1Xtra)

‘Feel It EP’ is released on Mala’s DEEP MEDi Musik imprint on 23th August 2010.

from the looks of juno, it looks like it's only coming out on a double 12" - though obviously need the man himself to confirm
