"Skream - Metal Mouth" snare

Post by theone1_ » Thu Aug 05, 2010 11:30 am

so this tune has a big snare ! I was wondering how to recreate it ? From what I can hear , there is reverb compressed with the snare , but it's not a very "bottom-endy" snare .. it's just got a few ms of punch compared to some other snares ..

can we try and recreate this ?? thanks :)

love the snare on this one a lot. feels like it makes every tune you mix it in or out to just works great.

Layer with noise, (white noise preferably) EQ the top end of the snare, around 300-450 kz, Compress, short attack and release it give it that snap
