Which tune represents dubstep?

Post by alextheswede » Tue Aug 10, 2010 10:26 pm

Name one tune that you think captures the feel of dubstep perfectly... obviously with so many sub-genres inside of dubstep right now it will be hard to name just one tune but if you just name the one that you have always thought of as being one of the original dubstep anthems, that got this whole scene going that bit more...

Mine would have to be this

While I don't think one tune can represent all of dubstep.

This captures the feel of dubstep for me personally.

definitely agree

such a diverse genre with so many different sounds that it really doesnt do it justice to name just one song to represent it.

ask me another day, and I'll post a different tune probably.

But this is an eponymous tune if you ask me (as are the other two posted tbh).

It has mad rhythms, big subbass, hypnotizing functions, it's got mad melodies that are somewhat dark but still blisfull.
It's perfect for smoking copious amounts of ganja. It can get you skanking like a mad men in the back, or just nodding hood on head.

This is dubstep.

any loefah track just makes me think of those epic 2005 youngsta & task shows. it would be goat stare, 28 grams, midnight, crackbong remix, rufage and all of those
