Dubstep -without midrange wobble

Right then, i am bored so i thought i would throw this one out there.
I prefer old school tunes, you know with heavy bass and actual step to the drums, over predictable midrange wobble dubstep anyday
Has any one got any sugestions for current artists to try who are going back to the true dark croydon sound?

People often say things like this but wobble has been an integral part of dubstep since before it was even dubstep. Be more specific, do you hate anything 'midrange' or just the brostep crew, or all wobble, or anything that has more to it than sub and drums or what?? Your probably better off checking out the future garage scene than dubstep tbh..

There's lots of good dub step that doesn't wobble if you look for it, I wouldn't give up on the genre Although future garage is looking very appealing atm.

OP, easiest place to look is right here in the production forum imo. Honestly, a good 60-70% of what I listen to with regards to dub step comes from here or 'underground' stuff I find on youtube or soundcloud.

Which is odd for me, as back when I was a kid I couldn't stand the genre.
But clean subs, shuffle, rim shots seem to resonate deeply within me, speak to me in a new way and leaves me feeling a lot of guitar based music is bland as fuck [/pretentious] Haha

Step One: Setup Track 1, insert a bitcrusher.
Step Two: Tweak bitcrusher so it's overly distorting and producing a dirty nasty sound
Step Three: Insert a lowpass and/or formant filter, along with an LFO generator
Step Four: Link LFO to filter cutoff and set to 1/4th or 1/8th notes
Step Five: Mute Track 1, send bass to Track 2
Done!

Obviously there's loads of good dubstep without wobbles(yourself included) and a lot of amazing stuff still being made at the moment. But the guy seemed to be after that heavy reverb/delay, dark, dubby sound from like 04-06. Well that's what I got from it anyway, which is quite rare these days. I just said about wobble always being about because people sometimes talk about it as if it's a new thing that started with brostep but it's been in dubstep since people were still just calling it garage and was used in jungle for years before that. Didn't mean it was in *every* dubstep tune, most things I listen to/make these days don't have it in actually but that's just coincidence not deliberate.

Feel I maybe didn't word my previous post very well and just looked ignorant :\ maybe I'm just being too sensitive because it's too fucking early in the morning XD
