the scene is properly saturated, in any type of music you wana pursue, up there a lot of its who you get to know (i know this is the case everywhere but since so many of the nights in leeds are student ran/based, the market tends to be smaller and cliqueier despite there being plenty of nights about)

best advice is to get mixes put together, and meet plenty of people, hit plenty of nights and parties, its not hard, leeds is a sick city for students n that, if you're studyin there but wana do the dj/night thing think long term, you got three years to work at something there, its a while

Tropical!!! We've got some big things coming for next year, keeping things fresh.

but yeah regardless of that, there's more dubstep than you can shake a stick at round leeds way, not sure if anyones mentioned LSS yet aswell, always a banger.
exodus/subdub also run the outlook festival so if your going be sure to get latest info from tribe records

'nation of shopkeepers' sometimes put big dj's on for free too

also chapel town carnival

and dancehall science on a friday which is pretty heavy!

in york there is 'base' which is pretty heavy and a short train ride but the vibes are wicked

arrrgh the list is quite long but yeah you ill have a balll!

Also in York there is Breakz which is more student based (check the website in my sig), as well as Herbal Mafia which is running more underground stuff. between us and Base theres a small but wicked scene!

Is this just a 3 month thing, or if it's successful will there be more?
