didnt know my opinion in full til i saw that
i reckon i support music that could be categorised as funky amongst the wide range of stuff i buy so i'm not hating (if that really needed 2 be said)
but it's a far narrower term than House
so bit disappointed
i thought things were fine
but of course some people were unwilling to go with the 'it's all house at the end of the day' vibe - got lost in some deep semantics
so now we're headed up by one sub-genre
the Other Music board is almost too undefined. i'd be posting next to appreciations of Death Metal (again i'm not hating) - is anyone gonna be looking there for a garage/techno hybrid at 130bpm?

Whether you're in the "It's all HOUSE at the end of the day" camp or not, I think everyone knows what to expect when they come here. What's in a name, I guess, but FUNKY seems a little inappropriate now.

In any case, this sub forum seems to have a healthy, open minded attitude so long may it continue, whatever it gets called
