ableton live and cubase

When you rewire Ableton as a slave is there any way you can use abletons synths? I seen to only have audio rewiring.

I use the same combination and as far as I can tell there is no way to use the synths in Live or any vsti through Live, when rewired to Cubase.

You can't even use ableton's synths? Shitty.

I knew you couldn't use VSTis, but that's crap!

So basically you can only use it for straight audio? Can't even use VST effects.

Yeah, pretty much audio only. This works for me without a problem. So when I am starting a new song I open Cubase first then Live and use the two together, just about all the time.

never tried personally but you can always bounce down ableton synths to audio before rewiring
