I play online with wireless on my PS3. Works fine.

Got the 60gb model and it runs pretty quietly. Prefer the general feel of the PS3, and I don't see the point in spending £40 a year just to go online

yeah, i thought everyone uses wireless for media serving and game play? unless your internets or routers are weaksauce...

ps3 is just miles better. it does a lot, and it outsells xbox globally, as does the Wii

It's very simple, if you use wireless you are not a real online gamer.

The fastest wireless router can not come close to wired sustained bandwidth and speed. This causes lag. At the level real gamers play at, a few 100th's of a second is the difference between winning and loosing.

No doubt though, for casual gamers that play an hour a week, and really mostly spend their time watching movies on their gaming system, ps3 is a good choice.

I got 1st prestige and consistently got top 3 on servers on CoD4 PC using DSL with ~150 ping. Just sayin'.
